The Maguire money is in the next box along and the Slew money is being kept safe in case Blackburn ever sue us under the trade descriptions act. The Murphy money used to be there but was whipped out to pay for the desso that our players now can’t stand up properly on.

Which is probably why we found it hard to accommodate him previously because he isn’t a traditional this or that. But he’s a game-changer and these type of players are rare and ought to be extremely highly valued.

True...but his game changing abilities make him a great sub.
Wilder puts a lot of importance in reliability and work rate/ organisation when out of possession.
Wilder attacks as a team and defends as a team....Brooks always looked poor at defending/ tackling. Would still have him though...but he‘d probably be classed as a luxury player and with his talent and potential suspect even with his injuries he‘d still cost at least 10 to 20 million based on appearances.
 
Brooks could be garbage when he gets back from injury and we still wouldn't be able to sign him in the summer.

I don't think Wilder would even want to anyway. He barely used him last time.
 
Always struck me as a player that won’t do the dirty work.
Didsy has talent but puts the work in too, and I’m not sure Brooks has the physicality to carry out a Wilder role consistently.

Great talent obviously, but don’t seehim coming here in the event of Bournemouth going down.
Reckon he will end up at an Everton or similar for a pretty huge fee.

He’s hardly injury prone, this is his fist bad injury isn’t it? The only other time that I can recall him out was with glandular fever (or was it Beattie flu?)
 
He's a hugely talented player and, provided he doesn't come back from injury a completely different player, will go on to do very well. Fairly certain that won't be with us, though. For all his talents, he didn't exactly slot seamlessly into our old side and our formation now arguably suits him even less. The money you'd need to spend on him I'm sure CWAK would rather use elsewhere. Nothing against Brooks though. He was great for us and I don't think anyone can bear grudges for him leaving Bournemouth. Even though our prospects look slightly better than his, I highly doubt he'll regret that move either. It made him a PL player, cemented his place in the Wales side, and meant he remains probably one of the more sought after youngsters in the league.
 
Mustn't forget that before Brooks suffered his unfortunate injury he was lighting up the Prem and a £50m transfer to Man Utd was being talked about. I, for one, hope he gets back to the level he was at previously. However, I agree with others who say they can't see where he'd fit into the Utd side. Theo other consideration would be cost - even if Bournemouth were relegated and were unable to realise the fee being banded about last season, I'm sure he (and his representatives) would demand a salary way beyond what Utd would be prepared to pay.

He was a lovely player to watch for Utd, especially his MotM performance v the Massive but I feel that ship has now sailed and is destined not to return.
 



I think he would fit McGoldrick's position perfectly. He can score as well and already has in the Prem. If he reaches the heights he did last season for Bournemouth then he is out of our price range and will go to a "top financial 6" club rather than one of the "14". However Wolves could also afford him but he is out of our financial league.
 
A season loan deal would be excellent in the event of a Bournemouth relegation. We can provide PL football without them losing out on a big talent for a cheap-ish price, help offload the wages for the season, give DB regular football at the top level in a side he knows well, without him leaving permanently, plus it would not take up a PL loan spot and is a low risk option in case his injuries return for us.

Where would he fit in?
 
Even if Bournmouth were relegated then he would still be out of our price range.

We also don't have a spare 20-30 million knocking around that we could use to fund the purchase. We need all our funds to buy players that would play 40 games a season.

If we stay up we almost certainly will have that amount to spend on a player.
Unless the prince is saving up to buy all the fixtures and fittings.
 
On a serious note if the medical staff passes him he would obviously be great to have back. That spark I think we sometimes lack. Imagine Brooks and Mousset running at the opposition.

About the only option to consider as long as we can send him back week two if injured or turns out he's lost it.
 



I don't want it to be the case obviously but what if we've already seen the best of him?
