A legend for his cockney walk in front of the West ham fans when we knocked em out of the cup at their old place. Quite fitting that he's in the news again as we beat whu. It would have capped it off last night against whu at the final whistle if the screen had shown Doyle's walk and celebration from the cup game. Take that you cheating gits.
Also that laughing policeman vid of Doyle doing the walk, can someone stick it up on here?

Why? He was a legue 1 player nothing more but that's what we were. Bet he wants us to do well. I do him and county

Epitomised our terrible league 1 days along with Collins. I know I’m in the minority but I can’t stand him. Rinsed the Blades for £thousands and he was as bad a player as we’ve had.

If pointing and shouting made you a Blades legend he’d have a car park statue. If footballing ability and actual contributions to games did he’d be up there with Hammond and Horsfield.
If that was a criteria I would have a statue as well 🥳

Him and Collins were 2 of the main reasons we got relegated from the Championship.

Yes, they were ok in League One, but that indicates they should never have have been there in the first place.

I bear him no animosity, he did put a shift in when we were in League One. But he was crap and epitomised our decline at the start of the 2010s.

That fucking game we were bummed 3-0 at Fratton, I think he was still on the fucking coach.

Sometimes - just sometimes - he could put in a shift and could mix it in midfield. But from the limited amount I saw him, it was all piss poor, backwards, lose the ball, never get a grip stuff. Glad to see he is still playing and wish him well, but as people say, apart from his piss take of the cockneys, he was much of what dogshit we had to endure under the McCabe Wilderness Years.

pommpey

Christ the mention of pointing just caused a flashback! Who was the other lad we had during the bad times who used to point a lot?? Some of the names mentioned on here make you shudder. Seems a lifetime ago now.

James Harper :(
That's him!🤣 He stayed in the Copthorne I used to go in sometimes to watch footy on tele during the week remember him in there with his shoes off feet up with the remote control like it was his front room! Guess that was a small example of what wasn't quite right at the time!

Just checked his Wiki page says he's still playing at Uxbridge and has been at loads of non-league clubs so to be fair to the bloke he must love to play!

And two seasons in a row ever present in the Premier League for Reading wow! That's quite impressive. Must have been United dragging him down to our level at the time!
