Sometimes you have to grind out a one nil win, they set up to nullify us all over the pitch and make it a battle, which is what it was for most of the game

Almost every team every season has what's known as an "ugly" win last night was ours, we were off the pace off sorts and all sorts. I felt Didzy never got into the game and Lunny was poor for what ever reason but he was passing awfully, I said on shoutbox McBurnie had legs reminding me of milk bottles (needs some sun). What I will say is though last night he was brilliant battled up front, came back to defend helped all over and ran his butt off.

I thought Mousse did okay when he came on but just seemed a tad too eager to wanna score I thought they had scored at end, but when saw replay under new law "handball is handball".

We did not write the rules and Moyes face was incandescent it's about time we had a VAR decision only had 2 in our favour funnily enough folk still talking about relegation.

It is January we have 32 points that's 12 more than Ballmouth, 13 more than Watford and 18 more than Norwich, I wouldn't mind but loads of doom and gloom merchants are Blades. I said at season start we'd be top 10 but, we may beat that but still everyone is having a pop read BBC HYS full of know nowt pricks.

Okay we are in nose bleed territory but we're there on merit enjoy it, this is making up to older ones for all the shit they endured (1st to 4th in 6 seasons). The younger fans are seeing exciting football (mostly) and are encouraged to come back to BDTBL sit back enjoy the ride who knows how long it will last.

Absolutely delighted obviously, but not at our best today, West Ham were closing us down. Egan had his poorest game of the season, Egan and Baldock quiet, especially in the first half, Lundstram was giving the ball away and Mousset wasn't well I think, saw him throwing up in the area. A fantastic result, but hopefully the flowing football will be back next week. Two defeats hit our confidence.

Think you're being a tad harsh regards Egan, he was up against a unit who was bigger physically and quicker than Egan, we had two defending him one In front and Egan behind and he still was strong enough and big enough to win a few balls and make himself a nuisance.

I agree baldock had a quiet game until that player when off on the left, looked a good player quick tricky and showed few good touches and passes and baldock seemed to struggle against him.

Thought we were poor first half and they were poor both halves. We deserved to win and as always the result is the main thing. It was a really important win too given our run of difficult fixtures, including the next two.

I think McG needs a rest. He has been poor for a few games now. Mousset on the other hand always give us that pace and goal threat and has got to start for me.

Hopefully that is Egan’s terrible performance out of the way.

To me it was the first time this season we've actually won without really deserving it.

I said to my Grandson when West Ham scored that I thought they deserved a point - that didn't stop me celebrating the VAR decision though.

It was handball according to the new rules so don't think they can really complain. It's the inconsistency with LiVARpool getting away with it thats wrong.

Absolutely spot on ,not our usual selves last night especially first half but second half was better and we can't forget the amount of money West Ham have spent on that team,yet we have an off day and can still compete.

32 pts in early jan is incredible, Wilder now with a new contract which I think was narking him a little bit a few months ago, 5th in the league for now and things are only going to get better in my opinion. Happy days indeed. Yet another happy weekend. Thanks Chris .

In a way I was happy to see us win ugly, many times in the past if we were not 100% at it we would lose or draw & we have to be able to grind out a result now & then. Thought we started too slowly, no zip in the passing & looked really sloppy with several players off it & not finding a red shirt, but still thought we were the better side over 90 plus minutes & just about deserved the win. Delighted it happened the way it did against WH, about time we had something go our way, & by the letter of the law it was handball. If the ball hadn't hit Rice's hand it would have gone from Egan's head to George so they got a clear advantage there, & also a hint of a foul on Egan as well I thought.
So all in all happy with the result & have no concerns we were not at 100%, we are not on the slide & will play much better moving on I am sure. One thing that did concern me was the chance they had in the first half where Egan got under the ball, that must be at least the third time we have been soft down the centre of the pitch & it needs sorting. It also happened for their disallowed goal, from giving up possession from Henderson's kick out of play once again it came straight down the middle & caught us out only for VAR to come to our rescue, something I never thought I would say.

Though we did deserve to win. Watch the game & assess which team had the best and most decent scoring chances rather gauging it on just our performance or possession. At times we don't help ourselves on the pitch & bring trouble upon ourselves
