I fully expect us to get knocked out of the cup this weekend and really have no feeling towards it, though i'll hopefully be watching it. We've shown many times that changing the entire first team out, despite them being quality players, doesn't seem to work for us.

It should give the first team a bit of a rest, give the reserves a run out and a chance to see a few players on the fringes

I know wilder has already said he's making wholesale changes for this fixture and I can see why. However, Fylde fans should expect a relatively strong line up featuring; Jagielka, Jack Rodwell, Ravel Morrison (hopefully), Besic (?), Robinson (?), Sharp (?)....that's still some line up. Just depends on if they have the familiarity to knock it about and play...

P.S. I'm interested to understand why fans would choose not to go this fixture. Not being BiggerBladeThanThou but interesting as to why you wouldn't want to see the boys who don't play as often get a run out...

Stupid answers only please.

Hoping to see the team play our way, should be interesting to see how they cope with it and the fitness levels.

Fair play to em , always used to look forward to FA Cup matches as the underdog ... not sure why one of them thinks you get 3 points from in Cup ties .. that’s what you get when mix alcohol , cough medicine & sea air !

Sadly, I'm less than bothered. Used to love the FA Cup, but we have bigger fish to fry. It's sad but just how it is!

Thank you Roy. Two poignant comments I thought, "Got a better chance with VAR", seems I've heard that somewhere before on here about United for this season.
"Effectively changing the way the game is officiated in the middle of a competition". Thought this a perceptive observation, no doubt the FA have notified all participants as a precursor so the footballing elite won't loose out to lesser organisations. A referee in the middle, open to all the "football" atmosphere a game can throw at him may, by being carried along with that atmosphere, make a none FA decision, easy enough done, Yet an assistant VAR referee, isolated from the "football" atmosphere, can make a measured pro FA/elite decision. Thinking of the FA pictures in my mind a 9/- note.

This devaluing of the FA cup does not sit well with me. Just saying.
I agree. I’m sure it is an unintended consequence of clubs reflecting on the value of remaining in the PL. The big clubs who have european fixtures, and big squads to manage, also benefit from these games disproportionately.

Are we sure those are Fylde comments Roy and you have not just done the easy thing and posted comments of here.....😁
Cheers anyway Roy.
