Along with Hendo come out of that with a bit of credit. I’m struggling with anyone else. Besic maybe, at least he didn’t look like he’d gone for the day out when he came on.

That was disappointing, I didn’t think we were like that. Gave them the freedom of Anfield for 90 minutes.

That Lundstram pass summed it all up.

Big reaction will be on the way against West Ham I suspect.

Thought the whole team other Henderson and the back 3 were terrible

As Klop has just said; it was the intention to keep the ball away from us as he knew we would hurt them, hence 600 passes by the back four.

Good game plan carried out to a tee. We're not crap, just not as good as the World and European champions.

Billy was decent when he was on, clearly gave a shit, he's got credit along with:
Bash - brilliant.
Hendo - brilliant.
JOC - good.
Baldock - steady after his slip
Enda - not really on it, but tried

Egan looked a bit stretched, but with Mane and Salah that's fair enough I suppose.

Lundstram, very poor.
Norwood, invisible.
Fleck, mostly invisible.

McBurnie fine, could maybe do better but it was a hard chance and he was basically out for a jog with the lack of service.
McGoldrick, some nice touches but gradually lost any influence as the game went on.
Mousset, same as McGoldrick.

Besic, gave it a good go, bit more physicality.

Overall a wishy washy performance against admittedly, the best team in the world probably.

I'll just say though, because I can see that there's definitely a couple of camps forming on the social medias - just because we played Liverpool, you can still say we were crap. Yes they're very good, but we're better than that showing.

The result was better than the performance deserved. Thought the midfield and the forwards with the exception of Sharp when he came on, looked tired and constantly gave the ball away.

We were very poor tonight, irrespective of who we were playing. We were very lucky as well that it wasn't much more.

There 2nd goal summed it up. They broke quickly but we still had 5 players back to their one player. Who nobody picked up and who then put the lad in to score.

We were very unlike ourselves tonight.

Best thing we did was not score early, as if we had done, and if we had played like that, we would have had a right royal shafting.

Move on, recuperate and go again, but CW absolutely right to be disappointed tonight. They didn't do themselves justice, the score is absolutely OK, considering our performance.

Fleck and Norwood both had a stinkers.

I expected us to lose, there's no shame there, but I did expect us to be able to keep the ball better and put the ball in the right areas to cause them a bit of trouble.

- Midfield was gash, looked terrified and like they didn't want the ball. Norwood form been shaky for a bit in my opinion.

- front 2 none existent and very poor when on the ball

- defence shaky, put a shift in though. Can be forgiven with their quality.

- Wing backs, shite.

- Deano was class.

Subs - all looked good when came on. Especially Bill.

Liverpool were class all over but we did make it easy for them.

That all being said with all they've given us this season and past 3 years we can forgive a bad day against the worlds best.

Lunny and Fleck were dogger.

Lunny looked like he was trying so hard not to fuck up Infront of his 30 Mates and family in the stands.
The mid 3 were terrible, absolute zero service to the strikers.

No danger of anyone nicking our players this January now 🤣🤣🤣

Sharp did ok needs a start in prem !
I really think by overlooking Sharp this season we’ve deprived ourselves of at least half a dozen goal already.
The sitters we are missing are really starting to piss me off now. We need to be ruthless in our transfer dealings especially with the strikers ASAP. Also I think it’s time for Besic to start now, Lunny out of form and fading fast.

The midfield and front 2 looked slow and lethargic tonight albeit against a great team. I expected more of a battle from them but they seemed to leave it all to the back 3 who were magnificent again.

Liverpool say they had their hardest game at the lane, well tonight at Anfield they had the easiest game they will have this season.

Yet if McBurnie scores the tap in like a £20m striker should do the last 6 or 7 minutes could have been very interesting.

Exactly. I expected the same effort and commitment as were on show against Citeh

Regardless of how good Liverpool are, and they are bloody good, we simply didn't even come close to meeting our own standards tonight.

Very dissapointed, but I know that this kind of drop off in quality is a real rarity for us, and I expect us to come back strongly against the Sham.

Having seen us trouble City, Klop kept the ball away from us otherwise he'd have had the 2nd hardest game of the season.

Takes a Good manager to come up with the game plan and a good team to deliver it.

Praise indeed.

Absolutely agree. Massive fan of sharp and I think we all know that he can’t give us 90 minutes consistently at this level but I’m certain he would have bagged a few given some of the chances the others have missed

At the time I thought it was an absolute sitter for McBurnie, but it was travelling to him at a fair old lick of speed and it wasn't as easy as it initially looked.

Our final ball wasn't good enough tonight. Come to think of it, most of our balls tonight weren't good enough. It wasn't our best tonight.

Don't dwell, move on and know that we haven't got to play Liverpool again this season. I hope that we learn from tonight and we have a better go at them next season at Anfield. I bet when we play them again, we wont be so awe struck with the whole experience.
