I think that we were psyched out before the ball was kicked with all this going to fortress Anfield/best club side in the world stuff etc.
Reminded me in a way of when I went to Anfield to see us lose 5-0 in the early seventies

I think that we just got outclassed by a far superior team. Anyone expecting to get 3 points tonight are delusional.

Yes but are we allowed to expect us to string a few passes together, maybe just for a few minutes?

I thought midfield were shocking to be honest and had their poorest game. Poor strikers not being supported. 2-0 is probably a good result. Liverpool were lucky to be honest with both goals. I think the slip by Baldock killed the game when they scored. Oh if he hadnt slipped.

Why did it look like with 3 minutes to go we suddenly started playing ?

Well the critics were right nil point against the top too. Who cares. At least we are not Norwich or Villa.

WE ARE STILL EIGHTH!!!!!

Onwards and upwards.

Klopp reckoned they got their tactics right and said "in all positions we were exceptional".

Disappointing performance tonight we looked tired and lethargic maybe too many players went with their autograph books. The start gifting them a goal didn't help but we did nothing at all to ruffle them until the last 5mins. The only real positive tonight is we don't have to play the best side by miles again and not too much damage was done to the goal difference. Not a Sheffield United performance that i would imagine Wilder will be having some strong words in the dressing room.

Liverpool were very lucky
Lucky to have brilliant footballers that cost beyond our pay scale
Lucky to have the best centre backs in football
Lucky to have a driven manager whos proving to be world class
Lucky to have not lost in the prem in a calendar year

Lucky to catch us being star struck and really off our game. Norwood I cant remember him passing to one of our players tonight . Very unlike him..
Felt sorry for our forwards. We got nothing much forward tonight for them to work with

I wonder if Baldock slip was caused by nervous feet/ balance. Got us off to terrible start and allowed the easy dominance to settle in. In short we bottled it but will learn from this and I am sure will recover. Safe by Easter.

When the team were walking out to they always shite alone, Enda and Jack looked unusually intimidated. Perhaps we're overlooking the enormity of the Journey some of the guys have been on, tonight it landed and for a while they forgot they are Premier League.

I noticed a Liverpool player slip shortly after. I think it was a slippy pitch. I wouldn’t say we’d bottled it, that’s quite a derogatory term and implies that if we’d turned up we’d have won, which isn’t the case really.
