Hello everyone im Carl a Barnsley fan and i run a new Barnsley FC Forum Tyke Talk BFC.com

I would like the Sheff Utd fans to answer these questions about our forthcoming questions that form part of a Matchday Blog that i do for each game.

1. Draw
2. I thought you'd all decided that already, Morgan is the Anti-Christ

4. There's a few pretty average ones
5. Shotton
6. Foster
7. anywhere from 7-12
8. 9-15
9. A few hard seasons ahead for many clubs and some wont survive, but these two will be OK

I'd say either a draw or a Barnsley win, Robins seems to have got you play as a good unit since taking over.

2) Which player should we fear most?

I'd have to say Cresswell, absolutely lethal from 2 yards ;)

3) Which player do you fear most?

Iain Hume, if playing. Only because he is my surnamesake. Seriously though, Bogdanovic - always been impressive when I've seen him.

4) Who is your worst player?

Haha, $64,000 question. I'd say the most under performing player we have is Stephen Quinn, only because I expect better of him

5) Who do you judge our worst player to be?

Jon Macken, past it.

6) Which player should we look out for in the future?

From the Blades? Evans, but only if we get another manager/he joins another team

7) Where do you think you will finish this season?

9th

8 ) Where do you think Barnsley will finish this season?

9) What do you think the Future holds for both clubs?

It depends a lot really, if we keep the same manager, mid table obscutiry.

I see a decent season for Barnsley next season, providing a few decent signings can e made, neither of us making any head way to the play offs though

9) What do you think the Future holds for both clubs? Barnsley - midtable for the foreseeable future. United - with Blackwell, relegation fight.

Hey Linz you were the inspiration for my reply after your beautiful forum closure item.;)
Caution taken by me may have aroused my suspicion about any posts today.

Barnsley Win.

2) Which player should we fear most?
All our dangerous players are injured.

3) Which player do you fear most?
Honest answer, no one particular player. You don't have Craig Hignett any more...

4) Who is your worst player?
Hard to say - we've some very dodgy loanees. But I think our left-back, Jordan Stewart or Andy Taylor are very weak.

5) Who do you judge our worst player to be?
Impossible to say as a non-regular watcher.

6) Which player should we look out for in the future?
We have no promising youngsters since we sold them all, but Jamie Ward (when fit) is useful, and Ched Evans has very well hidden (nay buried) potential.

7) Where do you think you will finish this season?
Just above half way.

8 ) Where do you think Barnsley will finish this season?
Just below us.

9) What do you think the Future holds for both clubs?
Next season we're more relegation than promotion material. It'll be a couple of years until we can challenge again. As for Barnsley, it's hard to see them rising above mid-table without a bit more cash, or a couple of inspired signings and lot of luck with injuries.

1) A tight 1-1 draw. Barnsley to score first.
2) Richard Cresswell is a goal threat. In terms of physical fear, your mate Morgan.
3) The lad Bogdanovic seems to be in good form.
4) Andy Taylor. If he plays your right winger will have a field day.
5) Darren Moore looks slow and over the hill.
6) Jamie Ward, he will play in the Premier League at some point.
7) About where we are now, I will say 9th.
8) Barnsley will finish mid-table, just below United.
9) The Blades have a few seasons of struggle ahead. I could see us having the odd flirt with the playoffs. Barnsley will consolidate their position in the Championship. With Robins in charge you have the potential to have the odd playoff campaign as well.
 
You might be lucky i think Bogdanovic might be missing the game on Sat he was taken off with an injury at Plymouth in midweek.

Personally looking the other way - upfront unless Boggy plays we dont score. Our defence is ok, midfield is ok but very defensive and of late we have been playing a brand of hoof-ball not unfamilar to yourselves at times im sure.

Im hoping Texiera returns from injury very good player - Hammill can cause danger too - we are just looking for this season to end so Mark Robins can form hiss own squad he's largely working with Simon Davey's assembled team with a few minor additions.

Close draw, not a great deal of football will be played.

Creswell, on fire with the goals at the moment - even thought they are coming off his face/shin/back/elbow.

3) Which player do you fear most?

Bogdanovic, seems to have scored everytime I look at your result.

4) Who is your worst player?

Monty the Headless Chicken. Taylor not too far back in 2nd.

5) Who do you judge our worst player to be?

Don't really know that many of your players to be honest.

6) Which player should we look out for in the future?

Currently Ward, Evans aswell once we get rid of Blackwell.

7) Where do you think you will finish this season?

Mid table nothingness.

8 ) Where do you think Barnsley will finish this season?

As above.

9) What do you think the Future holds for both clubs?

Us, get a decent manager and some of our own players and we should be back in with a good shout for play offs next season.

You, seem to be doing well under new boss. Few decent signings and tyou wont be far off.

2) Which player should we fear most? Williamson (if fit...)
3) Which player do you fear most? Bogdanovic
4) Who is your worst player? How long have you got? A contender must be Kyle Bartlett. If he is on Arsenal's books, he's a ringer.
5) Who do you judge our worst player to be? Darren Moore
6) Which player should we look out for in the future? Ward or Evans, but you'll have to 'look out for them in the future' at some other club 'cos they'll be sold.
7) Where do you think you will finish this season? Mid-table obscurity, which will seem like success next season if we keep Blackwell.
8 ) Where do you think Barnsley will finish this season? About 14th
9) What do you think the Future holds for both clubs? Hard times ahead for many clubs but Barnsley should be OK. United? About as good a future as the UK economy.

Yes I must admit I like the lad Hammill. Ive seen him a few times and he seems to blow hot and cold, but when he's hot he's a handful. Teixera never impressed me at West Brom but he appears to be playing very well for you.

If Bogdanovic doesn't play I'm not too worried by your frontline if I'm honest. Andy Gray was a favourite of mine in his time at the lane but your fans seem to give him flak in the same way a lot of ours did. I could never understand it because he was prolific for us! Without Bogdanovic he is your only remote attacking threat to us, IMO.

Having said all that I don't see us scoring many saturday, 1 at the most. If anyone gets it, it will probably be Cresswell.

5) Who do you judge our worst player to be? mackan is pretty crap.
6) Which player should we look out for in the future? Jamie Ward is a real cracker (if you don't already know him).
7) Where do you think you will finish this season? mid table
8 ) Where do you think Barnsley will finish this season? similar position to us (just below)
9) What do you think the Future holds for both clubs? good times for you guys under Robbins. Very bleak for United under Blackwell.

Interesting to read a number of positive comments about Mark Robins. I hear lots of Blades fans praising him. It can only be down to ABB (anyone but Blackwell) syndrome.

O'Driscoll said Barnsley were incredibly direct last week so it can't be the football he plays. Anderson Da Silva is often left on the bench so it isn't his love of playing talented players in the middle of the park. Barnsley don't look like they will end up with too many more points than they did under Davey last season so it isn't the way he's transfomed a struggling side. It's definitely not his honesty because he told barefaced lies about the side we had out when they failed to beat us at Oakwell. It isn't the way he's made Barnsley difficult to beat because they've gone for two 5s and a 6 since he took over.



Love to hear some more detail as to why so many Blades rate him so highly...
 
I met him at Millmoor before he was their manager [he had stopped playing] and the contrasts in listening to him speak and then hearing Warnock on the radio was like being on a different planet. [Blackie is not that different to Warnock is style/method of football so I feel it is a fair comparison]

I would imagine the players tend to listen to Robins and know their jobs when they go out on to the pitch and enjoy playing as apposed to our lot who suffer a 'system of play’ which must be dispiriting to play in. Only thing the our players must look forward to is their money at the end of the month?

But their fans say he plays a negative system and opposing managers say his side is very direct. Why does that sound more enjoyable to play in then Blackwell's system?

It sounds very similar to me hence my belief that Blades fans rate him purely because he isn't Blackwell.
 
I've not seen Rotherham or Barnsley under Robbins but RS generally give the impression that:

At Rotherham he played adventurous football and Ronnie is the negative one there now.

At Barnsley Davie was the negative one.

Unless you are winning I still think the Warnock/Blackwell way of playing is boring and can be for the players as well.

Whilst I’d like to see a change of style I can't see Blackie doing so because over the years the style has been good for him and Neil in terms of win ratios.

I think we are wishing for something that won't happen. It just bores me to death these days.

Ours? Ward maybe - you can tell I'm not enthused about our current crop of players

Barnsley might improve their position but I can't see them challenging for promotion (automatic or play offs) next season. I like Robins and can see him becoimng a very good manager. You might not have him season after next

I'm shocked how many people on here rate Quinn as our worst player. I know he gets booed when he comes on but I just thought that was a small group of the brain deads. Last home game he was by far our most attacking and creative player. Are the same people that boo him the ones that moan about hoofball because as far as I can see he is one of only a few that looks to play a bit of football on the deck, and one of e en fewer that looks to play through balls to the strikers rather than kicking it at their face. I know he went shit for a while bind can get anywhere near his top form he will easily be one of our better players.
Also how can you possibly say he is our worst whe we have people such as:
Monty: how anyone can hav been playng professional football for so long and have no technical ability or positonal sense is beyond me. But he tries hard, is a blade and knows his limitations s it's ok. Bollocks.
Taylor: no attributes whatsoever.
Stewart: nearly as bad as Taylor but at least has a bit of pace and comedic value.
Bartley: arsene has just got a random kid of the street and gave him us on the claim he is from their academy.
Hendo: could be average if he jumped every now and again rather than just trying to wrestle wry their centre half and crying to the ref. And what's all th crap about hm being this amazing player if we just passed to his feet? I can't see any of that.
