TV replays from multiple angles and different speeds are significantly better than a single view in real time from one angle. The Bash red card proved that, it looked a red from the main tv camera angle, but the second angle it was clearly a rash challenge that made little contact.
I honestly don’t get the time issue, football has always had stoppages and time wasting, why is this a big problem? Say the match went on for an extra 15 minutes, why is that a massive problem? Most of us don’t need to desperately get somewhere so soon after a match that 15 minutes will cause a problem.
I think the detachment thing is going OTT, if attendances start to drop over the next few years then I’ll hold my hands up and admit to being wrong. But I can only see the Premier League going from strength to strength with attendances continuing to be very high.
