BB.........No. He can't do it in England. We had him on loan and he was a dud (and that's being kind). He has scored goals in Scotland because he couldn't score them here.

Not one of the better suggestions ive heard. We already have an expensive striker that can't hit a barn door. We don't need two.

i dont agree..... i watched him earlier this year..... he's knocking em in for Hibs....... Rooney wud strugle at BDTBL :eek:

The comment in bold is where the problem is. He's doing it for a scottish team. Half of their PL teams would be playing in League One in England. The standard is probably the worst its ever been up there.

He came to the lane, did nothing. He went to palace, did nothing. Arsenal didnt think he was good enough and I believe he had one loan spell somewhere else as well.

Rooney wouldn't struggle in any side. He is world class and works like a trojan. He would score goals for anyone.

You missed Sunderland, who paid money for him, and where he also did nothing (other than fall out with Roy Keane for being repeatedly late).
 

This is firm evidence that bb has been overdosing on the Benylin.

Stokes wasn't cack, he was far worse. I've seen more effort in a junior aspirin.

I scored a pen once to put Littledale Juniors 5-2 up away at Beighton Magpies, their fans chased us off the pitch and stoned our minibus as we left in a hurry. I know I didn't notch very often (ever) but a massive overreaction I thought.

Fucking great strike from 12 yards though.

I played for littledale for a couple of years. Scored one goal. 'twas a wintry morn and the ground was too frozen for net pegs. The ball trickled along the line and I absolutely smashed it home from 0.5 yards. With no nets, the ball hit my dads car in the carpark. He didn't know whether to celebrate or clip me.

Just out of interest, does anyone know for sure if this is the same len, as in lendegoey1 off BU? I see there are many wanna-be-lens floating about out there now days - the original len I remember would be very happy and proud (or should i say smug?) about that fact I reckon!

P.S. FWIW, Stokes was even more of an inigma than Nade and Tonge combined, obviously had some talent in his feet, if not evidenced by just that single semi-decent appearance in the otherwise disastrous game v Wendy at S6 where he jinked his way past the defence but dragged a shot wide - thought we'd bagged a hidden gem after that, but alas he proved to have about as much drive and committment as a dead tortoise! - Its no coincidence he's gone in quick succession from Arsenal>Sunderland>Sheff Utd>Palace>Hibs - atleast in Scotland he can look like a (semi-)big fish in the very small 'top flight' pond of the SPL!
 
Sorry - just summat my verbally challenged jock mate said. I'd guess he'd attract top half Championship clubs but he reckons more than one chat's taken place.
