A day extra rest against a team who played an hour with 10,and then lost, they can't win the league and they know it. I don't think the circumstances could have dropped any better, the manager whingeing about the fixtures, if ever there's a time to play em this is it.

probably cost them the 3 points against wolves. Debruyne wasn't happy bout being brought off either.

Yeah they’re class players!

My driver to the airport yesterday was a big Man City fan and season ticket holder. He spent most of the journey banging on about the conspiracy that the premier league wants Liverpool to win the league.

He was very complimentary about us and was talking up a few players, even though he seemed to think Jags has played every game for us this season!

It was a bit ironic then that City had more than enough chances to close that game out yesterday and VAR going their way, that they still threw it away.

Just proves that they are not invincible and everyone has a bad day... just wondering if we can produce that spark like Wolves did and if City can have another off day in the space of a few days

We are a Premier League club. They’ve both lost this season, albeit Liverpool’s loss was in Europe. It’s highly unlikely but not impossible that we could get six points from these two fixtures.

Guardiola looks a touch unsettled and manic, even more than usual.

Could well make a big statement about P.L. fixtures by fielding all second choices. He's given up on the title and his 10 men will be absolutely knackered after last night. Really good that they were in the game right to the end.

De Bruyne was annoyed to be substituted and told his manager. Fernandinho has been awful at the back these past few games. Bravo is vulnerable. Aguero is not match fit. Ottomendi always has a mistake in him. Could be Stones!!! Rodri is a stroller so he'll be available. Unfortunately Foden will be full of running. Mendy is a liability, not sure he will be fit enough and Angelo will play. B.Silva put a big shift in last night and will be knackered. Sterling will be dwelling on his two missed penalties and had a really poor game apart from his goals.

Big opportunity is this.

Best time possible for all those reasons and Predictions League has been really difficult these past two Gameweeks. Bring it on.

One thing you can’t do with any certainty is predict football.

but what city are good at is keeping the ball and passing in tight areas meaning they are good at breaking the high press.
And this is what we have to be most wary of with the pace and ability in their forward line and from midfield.
If they get through running at our back line we will be in bother, and likewise if we leave lots of space in behind it’s trouble!

so I expect us to defend our own third out of possession and try to limit space and defend the balls into our box. The possession Stats will be over 70% in their favour but we will hope we can frustrate them.

I reckon Mousset will start just to have a pace outlet for the odd clearance which may break for him.
Huge test for us this, DeBruyne is the best in the world for me, so Fleck and co have their work cut out.

Just imagine this. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we're 4th tomorrow.

Its unlikely but possible. Man U away at Burnley won't be a walk in the park, Chelsea away at Arsenal, Wolves at Anfield and totteringham at Norwich.

Why should we fear them?

For this group of players (and the management team too) this is the challenge they’ve come for. Better still they’ve earned the right to play the game on its merits instead of being under pressure due to not having points on the board.

Do I think we’ll beat them? Not necessarily, but I expect we’re going to have a right good crack at it as the team look to prove what they’re capable of (instead of trying to smuggle the 90 minutes past without conceding too heavily like Warnock did).
