So it depends on whether good Steve or bad Steve rocks up. Sheffield could win or Newcastle could win.

I think Sheffield United will win this with Didzy breaking his duck. UTBs
 
Right we all agree, home win, let's not bother with the game and concentrate on the Norwich game.

I reckon they'll sit deep and close down everything for at least 65 minutes and then try the occasional speedy break to nick it . If that occurs to me , then I am sure it will also have occurred to CWAK - so I'm hoping we have an effective 'counter-plan'. :-)

'Parking the bus' and hoping for something on the break is hardly a tactical plan, well maybe the simplest ever plan. It worked for Wednesday twice at Bramall Lane recently. Fancy watching it every match.

West Ham were suckers for it recently and the Toon countered with pace.

I am surprised and disappointed with the Toon's results so far. I thought they would be booking a relegation spot by now. Their squad looks worse than last season and they are missing Ritchie.
 
Newcastle fans seem absolutely broken, which I'm treating as a kind of S6 prelude.

It's a surprise they're quite so negative considering some of the good results they've managed this season including last weekend. As already mentioned it's no worse than Benitez.

And Bruce already sent us all to sleep once this year on the way to a glorious 0-0 win by his former club, so they really should be more upbeat.

Potential banana skin, we need didsy to help moose out by scoring one of his 4 chances.

I am worried as well that on 60 mins we’ll take moose off and put that lazy streak on, I’d pick Leon ahead of him just to keep the work rate up, we know Clarke can work the back 4 for the last half hour and be just as big a threat, BTW - I know he scored against Man Utd, but considering that we’d conceded three while he settled into the pace of the game I’m not sure we send him on that early in the game, it clearly unsettles us every time as he’s too different a player..
 
I'm as nervous as fuck about this one .

Bruce will undoubtedly set them up to stifle us at the back and hope to hit us on the break . Unlike the Pigs when he used the same tactics , they have players who can do that .

Hope I'm wrong but it doesn't feel good to me .

FFS i hate it when opposition fans just about to a man predict their team will get battered. The only thing that can save us now is Bruce playing the same tactics as he did last season with Villa and us being 4-0 up early in the 2nd half 😟
 
Wow, never heard a set of fans so demotivated. Imagine what they'd be like if they had been on our journey. One quote summed up their negative frame of mind.......

“If we win this game I’ll rip my dick off and serve it alongside some cheesy chips in a Sunderland pub.
We are gonna get battered.”
 

Blimey! When we were tearing up League 1, and then the Championship, opposition fans had the Blades as a bunch of average players playing way above themselves. Now we're in the Prem and averaging slightly more than a point a game and opposition fans have us as world-beaters. Strange times!
