I don’t know wilder personally only ever had a very brief chat with him, however I know a couple of people from various backgrounds who’ve known him in different circles and from what I can gather the man isn’t money motivated, he’s football motivated and is a born winner, also a realist and for that reason I draw my own conclusion that he won’t leave us for an Everton,Newcastle,West Ham. What would the point be? He knows he’s on the verge of becoming a once in a lifetime manager, a REAL legend, the only REAL legends at the Lane for me would be Billy Gillespie back in the 20’s (nobody alive will remember him now) Jimmy Hagan (the amount of people who remember him are dwindling) Tony Currie (sorry to you lot 50+ but there’s more of us that don’t remember him than do and Brian Deane who people only in there 30’s and upwards will remember.
Wilder if he stays and can carry this team a little further in the next few seasons (where Bassett failed) could etch his name into maybe THE all time Sheffield United F.C. legend.
For this to happen though he’d need to first of all keep us up and then progress into a top half of the table European spot chasing side and with what’s happened so far in 3 and a half years anything is possible.
so if you’re reading this Sir Chris, please stay and let generations of blades remember you long after you and me have left this immortal rock.

The article is from a Shammer supporting Sports Editor who employs a pig as journalist. The main aim is to try and de stabilise the Blades as they cast envious glances in our direction. Roygbiv should do a view from the Shammers on the possibility of CW being their Manager. Some of the forum comments are priceless not least the one suggesting he's a trendy Pulis or Warnock

On the other hand Arsenal fans are warming to CW as their next manager who'd have thought that at the beginning of the season.
