You should be in control of the play, not letting the opposition have it and sitting back. One goal changes everything and then it so easily can and does become 2 and then 3 and it’s game over. Gutting, but lessons have to be learned.

Just stopped pressing and I don't know why, as we started again for the last 10. It's like we got thrown off by something, maybe McG should have been taken off sooner if he was knackered but something tranquelised us and their quality hurt us.

If we’d lost you can guarantee Oli would’ve copped the flak for it but it happened before Mousse even went off. Fuck knows.
 
We lost control of a game we had control of ......we sat back, we started hoofing the ball - we let them play....and look what happened. We must stop doing that and keep going for 90 mins.....

However, our ability to get going again and turn things around again, is unbelievable!!

Love em - hate em - LOVE EM!!!!
 
Imo, we stopped playing and let them get it wide and let them put balls in. Now, against arsenal that'll work but Man U's style is what we let them do. We should have carried on attacking them and made it 5-0. We got the equaliser because we had no choice but to attack them, should have done it for more than one half.

We did stop pressing as hard but you can’t play like we did for 90 minutes. We still looked very comfortable, albeit less adventurous, until 2-1, and then heads went. Couldn’t pick a pass, lumping it forward and letting James run at us. We needed to get the ball and keep it, make them work.

Having said that, the bollocks we showed to get back off the canvas and start playing our way again to get the equalizer was quite amazing. Mixed emotions but mostly very proud.
 
Two points lost but bearing in mind the loss of Henderson and Egan a point at the very least was what we deserved. Jags was blowing out of his arse after 60 mins and lost Greenwood for the second goal. Baldock didn't need to go for the same ball as Jags for the first and left their player on his own. The third goal they scored was quality. Pleased for Mcb but if only Mousset was fit enough to last 90 mins we would have won that game.

was about to post the same. reminded me of the Villa match last year - totally bossing it, then sat back, kicking it anywhere. Only difference is this time we are celebrating a last minute equaliser.
 
Very poor, heads went after their first. Norwood (Norwood!) in particular seeming to be booting it just anywhere. Can't help but think that wouldn't have happened if Egan were playing. Whatever Everton offer, make 'em triple it and tell 'em to fuck off anyway cos we'll be in a bit of bother if he go.

Great effort to rally but by Christ they let those bastards off the hook. Never seen us beat Manchester United in the flesh (though it has happened a couple of times in my lifetime) and they botched a really good opportunity there.
 
Man U were, as expected, quite poor in every regard except for a stunning keeper and an unbelievable choice of forwards. They had to go all out and put everything up front and they're just a little bit good. There have to be periods where we drop back and conserve some energy. It's a shame that that brief period was all it took for them to score three but that's the quality they have.

Exactly this. Our energy levels dropped slightly and they began press because they had nothing to lose. They have quality, the first goal was a cracking finish (although GB was ball watching) the ball in for second was class, and the third was created by James’ notorious afterburners. The boys were immense though
 
We had no out ball and began hoofing it anywhere whilst getting increasingly deep. We stopped closing them down and defended the box. We got punished for it.
 
Imagine if when the Moose went off we had someone similar to come on - we could easily have won that game; 3-0 would have been a fair result. I'm sure Wilder knows we have to invest in power and pace to match the Moose, and we can dream of European football. We need to get real now - I mean, look where Burnley are for Christ's sake!! If we're not vastly superior to them then I'm a Wendy fan.

Course we did. Did you see the amount of energy we put in. Was always going to happen! Lundstram was out on his feet after an hour!!

ManU were poor because of the way we played, but as soon as we backed off and allowed them to play......

This actually happened on the Kop today! Totally clueless fuckwits were blaming Oil for us conceding three goals in 8 minutes. I fucking give up at times!
We conceded three because a) we'd run our bollocks off for 70 minutes, b) we didn't manage the game well enough after the first goal and kept giving it away, and c) Man Utd were fucking awesome at times - and so they should be when they have the choice of the best players in Europe they have and the amount of money they get paid.

Point gained and I'm proud.

Arsenal at home we were 1-0 and hardly had possession. We were tiring
