The Prince is a big fan of Maguire, follows him on social media and they probably still speak now and again.

Interview surprised me a bit as he came across as still a Blade, "first score always looks for is Sheffield United on a Saturday".

Almost a hint, nah a tinge of regret not staying where he was considering Man Utd dropped out of the top for some time and where the Blades are now.

Interview surprised me a bit as he came across as still a Blade, "first score always looks for is Sheffield United on a Saturday".

Almost a hint, nah a tinge of regret not staying where he was considering Man Utd dropped out of the top for some time and where the Blades are now.

Us Blades have seen with our owns eyes that a well drilled/ well coached TEAM beats better individuals so often.

My point is if we had kept Maguire and Brooks etc we would not have had any money to strengthen the TEAM.
So with Maguire and Brooks in the side, their development would have stagnated and we wouldn‘t have had the finances to strengthen the TEAM.
Without a balanced team with strength in all positions we’d still probably be in league 1.

The most interesting comment I took from his interview was “great owner”.
Does he know that the Prince won the ownership battle and its no longer McCabe
or is it a deliberate dig at McCabe? Just thought it was a strange thing to say,

Yes, with all the other things to be said in a short interview, it seemed a funny one.
Unless he knows Prince wants to splash some cash in January, and fancies the chance on the bench as defensive backup!

I agree with that but we should have got more money for both of em as usual.
