Possibly the finest moment of real blades glory I had seen, up to that time - especially Warhurst and Sheridan doing that tackle on each other - The entire standing corner of the Kop seemed to move down about 4 rows as one......
It really was a great time.
Little did we know that just three months later it would get even better.......

There was a Wednesday fan stood near me on the Kop, which was bad enough, but he was a proper gob shite and was really getting on everyone’s tits.

When Whitehouses shot hit the net, as you say, the whole crowd surged forward and from a few rows back, a lad threw a diving haymaker, which accidentally caught the S6 chap square on his chin. To the great satisfaction and amusement of all.

Needless to say he wasn’t around to get another one when Deano made it two. Which was a shame

On this day in 1991 we beat Wednesday 2-0. I always thought John Gannon was unfairly targeted by the 'boo boys', great play by him for the first goal.

Said this many times that Gannon didn't get the credit he deserved when he played for us. His corners were as good as Norwood's, his left foot was excellent too, but in the early 90's our game wasn't suited to Gannon putting his foot on the ball. Gannon also set up Bobby Davison's third with a beautiful ball but again that's not often mentioned in regards to the 3 - 1 win.

Not Worthington - It was King who stuck his right arm out on the line to stop the volley from Dane Whitehouse -VAR should have had no problem with that one: Concluding that his right arm was not in a natural position, unless he was sending a coded message to Dane Whitehouse that read "Hello Sailor..." (or words to that effect).

Then came the legendary Bobby Davison - That was the best night ever

Still my favourite derby! They were so sure they'd get revenge after the 2 - 0! Wednesday finished only 7 points off the title that year, of they'd doubled us as expected they may well have won the league! So even more important that we did 'em twice. I remember it was so sweet at school the days after the derby wins!

Chris Woods truly was awful in both derbies and he cost more than our entire team did!

Ooh harsh mate! I know that not every one of Norwood's corners is good but so many result in goals or chances I think, but we all see things differently.
