Has to be Henderson, what happens when Man U. who already have us by the gonads when ever we play them either want to use him them selves or are offered a price they can't refuse ?
It got to happen sooner or later and the way our defence is playing just now it could well be as soon as January .
Personally I don't believe Simon Moore is in the same class as Hendo and if Verrip is only good enough to be Moore's understudy we appear to be ,looking down the barrel of a bottom half finish or maybe even worse if we don't sign better cover .
I'm worried that as it stands just now with Henderson Man U could pull the plug on our season any time they think of us as a threat and so that search for a goalkeeper is a prioraty......

As far as I am aware there is no recall clause, so it will not be an issue until next summer. His form will no doubt have caught the attention of other suitors and will have pushed his price up, should Man Utd decide to sell.

There’s no elephant in the room.

We have Henderson for the full season at least. There’s no way Henderson will be playing for Man U next season. Think Henderson is seen as a long term replacement not short term. He’s still very young.

Suspect Man Utd might be keen on him staying another season so they can judge properly and time it right to replace De Gaia.

I'll whisper it very quietly but I'm not overly bothered about losing Hendo next season. Don't get me wrong, he's been very good and is obviously a character on the pitch and in the dressing room, but I certainly wouldn't pay silly money for him. What would his value be now? £25m maybe?

In McCabe's bungled appeal attempt, wasn't it reported that there is an agreement for him to sign if we stay up?

We should try and negotiate 15-20m with man u to have a first refusal option to buy him back for 30-35m

We’ve got this season only to make the most of him by the end of which he could well be England’s No1 keeper.

Read in the paper they want Onana.

If that's the case we have to buy Hendo. £20m absolutely worth it.

I am sure i read that Kevin McCabe had stated that there was a deal agreed and that we are committed to buy Hendo for £20 million at the end of this season.

Stick some clauses in for Man U (they're probably too daft to take them up anyway - rather have a foreign star) and Hendo (relegation clause etc), and get it done. Hopefully if they chase Onana, Henderson will see they're really not that bothered about him and get fully behind us.

McCabe said it's a done deal already BromTom. It was in an interview where he expressed his concern for the future finances and he cited it as an example of what we are already committed to. I may have misread or misunderstood it of course.

I'll raise you
