I sense we'll get a lot of interest in our players. CW will have a job on his hands keeping this squad together, this squad is pure quality and heads will be starting to turn above now.

Why wouldn’t we? Don’t look for problems on a night like this.

Looking to the future, if we lose 2-3 of this squad and end up going down this result is insignificant. Brilliant first 11 games but we must keep this squad together for the entire season!

Not looking for issues, just being realistic. Joint best defence in the league after 11 games, of course there is a real possibility we may lose some of that back 5.

Lol. nobody will want to leave and McCabe can’t sell them from under Wilder now

January will be about bringing quality in again

John Lundstram, 25, midfielder, English. If he keeps this up he will become one of our most valuable players price wise

If we sign him to a long term deal pretty sharpish, or he'll be off in the summer for nowt

Wrong transfer window.

Not sure, there are a few teams rebuilding, such as Man United, I could definitely see them splashing out in Jan ready for a full pre-season for their new players. They might aswel write this season off as a failure.

Rubbish, utter rubbish

Rubbish how? When did a side come up from League One to the Prem in 3 years and after 11 games have the joint best defensive record in the league, playing a unique style such as we are? You seriously think other teams won't come sniffing at that when you've got teams like Man Utd/Tottenham/Arsenal leaking goals like crazy. They'll all be in the market for better defenders, and statistically we have the best defenders in the league.

As soon as I saw the thread title, I knew who’d written it, I could have set my watch by it, another negative vibe to consider.....you’ve got previous.

The defensive performances are more due to a collective effort that individual brilliance,

If Arsenal or Man U signed O’Connell or Egan, it wouldn’t solve their defensive problems. They’d need to bring Wilder with them!

Negative saying bigger clubs will be interested in our players? That's one of the biggest compliments you can give a player ffs. That's not negative in any way shape or form.

Perhaps negative in that your reaction to today's excellent result isn't to celebrate the fact we sit 6th or our lot performed so well but to immediately start stirring shit about teams coming into nick all our players as if we ought to be regretting the win today. All it was missing was speculation Wilder was going to be poached by Manure and Bramall Lane being found to have dry rot or something.

We were in the top half in 2007 but we still went down. Of course its a good result, but its only a good result if it helps us stay up and if we lose players in January we will struggle. That's not being negative, just realistic.
