We have done fantastically well so far this season. Burnley is a huge game on Saturday. It is a benchmark. Ok, we know we can raise our game against the big boys and defend like tigers, but can we also produce the goods when we are expected to get the points. Burnley are no mugs, but if we want to cement our position as a solid mid table team, then these are the home matches you should be winning.

The results have been great but I’ve not seen us play anyway near our best in matches.
We had good spells against Leicester & Southampton

Agree. I want to see us have sustained periods of domination, committing men forwards, opening teams up. We do have this in our locker, but as you say - we have only seen this in brief flashes since we went to a flat 3 in midfield

100% agree. Teams make the mistake of looking at us and thinking "There's 3 points" and the have an "off day". It's massively important that we don't do that V Burnley. Thankfully we have someone in charge who will drill that into the team. Bigger game than Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea as none of them will go down

I agree in a sense with that you are saying but Burnley also wont go down. Plus when you look at it by saying bigger game than Arsenal and Chelsea both of which we got points from which we probably wouldn't have realistically thought before a ball was kicked so that's 4 points there we have got what people didn't expect take a bit off this game.

We do have it in our locker to dominate teams at times but we are in the prem now still with a small budget compared to the other teams stable in this league we need to remember this is out first season back in the prem and if we want to stop up which I think we will and reasonably comfortably if you ask me we can't afford to go all out attack and wilder knows this thats why there has been a slight tweak in formation and the way we play. I am still more than happy if all we do is manage to avoid relegation this season and then you build from there.

Agreed think the best we’ve played was Chelsea away if we can do that at stamford bridge against a quality Chelsea team who won 7 games on the bounce after that we can do that to the majority of teams

Whilst I'm chuffed to bits with our opening ten games I can't help think that's a tad generous. An A- suggests there's very little wrong.

Contrary to this we've only scored more than one goals twice, both own goals. We've conceded some silly goals through unenforced errors and we've been let off by teams missing sitters, Mane hitting the post, Pepe missing an open goal, Snodgrass hitting the post from six yards. We've also been very 50/50 in good half, bad half often and have put in a consistent performance in half our games.

Wilder would rate our discipline, effort and defending as A-. But I can't see him ranking us overall that high, as it suggests there's little room or need for improvement.

I'm not knocking the team, but it's more like a B- for me. For surpassing expectations and getting unexpected results A+, no doubt.
