A bit more notice would help. And how’s this going to work if we’ve nearly sold out?
I don’t like criticising the club but FFS, at least try to understand the concepts of proactive and reactive.
Better late than never... And perhaps they will be better prepared for future games.

They should have extolled the views on offer for the remaining seats.

"Try our new(ish) kop corner. You can choose between a brick wall or a fucking great pillar inches away from your face. Or what about the other side of the kop where the new Sky TV commentary box painted in a lovely gunmetal grey anti-rust matt paint will replace the view of at least 25% of the pitch. Your three friends won't be able to sit together but will be given single seats scattered around these areas. Think of the new friends they will be able to make who are sitting in the same boat. Naturally we assume they will be able to drop all plans at a minutes notice. And, erm, that will be thirty quid each please."

My marketing nous is available for free if the club care to pm me.

Having sat in the Pukka Pies Stand for the Arsenal game I can safely say the above is luxury compared to my experience in there...

What a missed opportunity that entire corner is...

That being said, these shit seats are the only ones likely to be available, so exactly how do you market them?

I often wonder what "they" were thinking when this was envisaged, and I wonder what they thought when they saw it completed ......

Anyhow, a little known fact, Pharoah McTutancabe did build this

Sell them for a fiver each to schools on a rotational basis who could be arsed registering. Just a thought off the top of my head. Just don't try to disguise them as some super deal the club is offering.

Fair enough - but they will sell most of them for £30, 6 times that value, so there’s a chance their marketing is probably spot on. :)

Unlikely seeing as there's only a few hundred tickets to go at and I don't think there's enough mugs in town to fall for it.

Does it mean tickets aren't selling very well?
It's a strange one boxer if there's 600 tickets left and just 2 days to buy for friends and family ! Any takers will have to be sharpish to do all that's required to buy them.
Not only that ! a small group would want to sit together and no where near the season ticket holder is sat with not much chance of sitting together..
In principle it's a good idea to introduce new fans but it has to be thought out better than that as I said it's a strange one.

Well at least they're trying to find ways to move the last 400 or so we don't seem to sell but again leaving it late and the quality of the communication again is poor.

Why is the restriction of a minimum of 150 points still in place? Already on the responses to the tweet people are saying they know friends who are on the system with less than this figure who'd like to go but they don't know a season ticket holder. Also lots asking if members can buy tickets not just season ticket holders and questions about additional priority points for those season ticket holders who take advantage of this offer.

Club need to set out a clear policy for all games stating if any are left once the 150 points threshold has been passed then it will go to general sale for those already on the ticket database, no points restrictions. Also season ticket holders will be allowed to purchase extra for family and friends at this stage. There will be some games where we do not get to this but at least every one will understand what the process is right up to match day.

Last minute ad hoc managers decisions on a game by game basis just cause confusion and limit the Clubs ability to sell tickets and floating fans access to them.

I’m fairly sure there are far more than a few hundred left. We hear this each time, but in reality those numbers are because the club release the last few thousand section by section.

I’ll be amazed if we’re only a few hundred short of capacity.

Bring your friends to the game*

*Send your friends to the other side of the ground and meet them after the game

Agree does seem weird.....it’s been left so late that your friends are likely to be sat no where near your seat.

Also shouldn‘t EVERY MATCH be season tickets holders can bring up to 3 family members or friends with them.
Thats how a fanbase traditionally grows. Current hardcore fans bring someone along who is a casual fan. Eventually the casual fans develop an interest.
