Normal service will be resumed at Forest. Kallio and Geary frighten me and Nosworthy will cost us at least one goal.

We have to get results in a few of the away games against the sides above us and it aint happening. I still don't see a unity and a collective desire to avoid defeat in the big games. Plenty of huff and puff but no conviction

Bristol were as bad as we have been. They were horrendous.

Yes it was an enjoyable 90 minutes but that is all. Credit where it is due on that basis to Blackwell for picking his best players but should we really applaud him for that?

NO, I think we should boo him! Can't you just enjoy today's performance, regardless of whom we played?

dont tell me what to do you patronising arrogant oaf

Sod that, I'm allowing myself to get very excited. I think I - we all - deserve it after the last couple of weeks.

Come off it Judge, no need for it.

I don't like Blackwell. I enjoyed the game and I love talking about United. Disagree with me by all means but lighten up a bit, you're meant to be happy tonight.

Likely. He seems absolutely terrible. I've missed the last two home games as I've been on holiday and so this is my first look at him. Dreadful is the verdict, based solely on that 90 minutes. A proper team would have shown him up. The one downside in an otherwise strong performance from United today, I reckon. I shat my pants every time he got near it. Did he ever win a header?

I still don't see a unity and a collective desire to avoid defeat in the big games.

Open your eyes then. There was a lot of effort today, there were lots of little back slaps and positive body language signs that I noticed. The celebrations all seemed positive. What do you see that suggests a lack of unity and desire?

They were terrible, aye. Hence we shouldn't get carried away on the back of a very good performance. But you can only beat what's out there and we beat them comprehensively.

We beat them playing good passing football. Which dispels the myth that Blackwell can only play one way, so please don't lets hear anybody saying that again, because if you do, you are self evidently wrong. OK?

The real issue is whether he has the cojones to carry it on, or whether he goes back to what we have been seeing before. We'll have to wait & see on that one.

or Paul Walker has pased on how bad the fans reaction was to recent events?

lighten up ? i was in a great mood till i read your post i hardly ever come on here when we lose because of your 5o anti blackwell posts a day would have been nice to have been able to come on after a good win and not have that spoiled by sufc's self appointed minister for truth and justice totally ruining the buzz of a win and a good performance

Ordinary first half (which in itself is a huge improvement) but good to watch second. Goal of the season by Henri and a textbook near post header for Relish for the second. Could and should have had more as we took the game to the opposition relentlessly. The Arsenal kid stood up well to the Bristol Brick Shithouses and isn't scared to put a tackle in. Derek put in the sort of performance he really shouldn't be able to given the state of his knee and if there isn't some sort of joint testimonial arranged for him by us and them if he has to pack in soon I'm in both fucking car parks until they do.

Midfield was balanced with both Wardy and Yeates making angles and options other than our trademark hoof. Monty was Monty but Williamson was excellent. Early days, but we've been waiting for him for years.

Got to temper the clappage by saying Bristol were shocking. They look like we must look when we go away and don't try, which is something that must stop if the performances today are to go unrewarded at the end of the season.

Well done everyone, now show us it wasn't a fluke.

Sorry don't let him worry you. He won't ruin my evening. Just had a little fit of laughter coz he cannot wait till we lose again, to be one of the 'I told you so' brigade. I have a sneaky suspicion he is not a true Blade!:D

A day in the life....

Get up. Boo the bad weather. Put the kettle on. Boo because it's not boiling the water after 0.37 seconds. Make a brew. Go on www.breakfastcereal.com and moan that Cornflakes every day are crap, and you wish the wife would see sense and get a more exciting cereal in. Go to work.

Arrive at work and boo all of the other workers for not having a plan B. Boo the boss. Boss announces new changes to working day. Boo him.

Have lunch. Moan on www.butty.org about bloody cheese sandwiches, again. Open new exciting packet of aardvark flavour crisps. Moan they are not salt and vinegar on www.crispsoftheworld.co.uk. Boo cup of coffee.

More work. Moan about length of pencil. Boo stapler. Suggest reverting to chalk and slate, or stone tablet and chisel. Moan about desk. Go on www.officechair.com/forum to complain about modern office chairs.

Go home in rush hour. Moan out loud to entire bus about traffic, and wonder out loud seven times why there are no conductors any more. Get home, and moan about the dog needing a walk in the rain, and ask why it can't take itself out for a poo. Boo next door's cat. Log onto www.dogwalking.net and moan about lead length, and also turd length.

Watch telly. Moan about too much choice on. Watch Eastenders. Feel cheerful for eleven minutes and fifty-three seconds, but not all in a row. Moan about lack of Terry and June. Boo the news reader.

Go to bed. Moan about wife's oral sex technique, boo, and interrupt to go on www.blowjobs.net to moan about lack of deep throat and too much nasal breathing. Go back to bed. Find wife asleep and moan.

Sleep. Have nightmare about nice things, everything going right, football team winning and wife swallowing. Wake in cold sweat. Moan about cold.

Wake up. Repeat.......

BBC sport say Yeates was excellent and tho didnt go so both goals on Final Score -both good goals not scrambles- I am encouraged and content COYRAWW

Please mate sort it out.

Yes i know Normally we are shite, but today we played fairly well & got 3 points.

Im far from Blackwells biggest fan. And we didnt even play very well, but we did ok, got the 3 points & had a change of personel with it.

TBH i just think your pissed of because we won.

Even if you hate Blackwell (And im not his fan either,) please just be happy for the team thay we won?

Can I fuck your wife and give you a real reason to be upset? In fact I'll just do it and really annoy you.

No, Bristol City weren't very good. Yes, this allowed us to play some nice stuff at times without really being threatened.

Does it solve all the problems? No. We all know that. Was anybody ever getting carried away? Has anyone said "On the back of this easy win against a piss poor Bristol City side, we're bound to be Champions League finalists at the very least in five years!"

No. Nobody has. Had there been gushing praise, I could understand the reason to burst a bubble, and then only tenuously. As it is, you just want to shout, scream and the bawl the odds in the way of a seasoned troll. "I want criticism. I know that that wasn't anything to get worked up about."

We still fucking won though.

If all your life is about is to remind us how much you hate everything, then fuck off and go to a darkened room with a shit load of Smiths and Leonard Cohen albums, and be as fucking depressed as you want there.

We're not Real Madrid; we're barely a Real Football Team at times. At least let us enjoy a win though.

Oh dear. You are sounding more and more like Lens apprentice every day, and believe me, modeling yourself on the 'man of straw' is nothing much to aspire to.

We could just agree to this though.

I'll promise not to get over-excited by a good performance and a win, if you promise not to get over-excited about a poor performance and a defeat.

How about that..?

Didn't go yesterday as I have been totally switched off by the shite the team has been serving up!
Watford was a match too far for me with possibly the worst display for many years and then to listen to Blackwell spouting bollocks in the after match interviews.
I heard Derby was bad and so was Preston but yesterday sounds like a massive improvement!
Whilst I appreciate Bristol City are not playing that well it ppears a good victory and encouraging performance.
Normal service will be back this week at Forest and Peterborough and hopefully Blackwell won't screw it up by changing things back!
Well done Blades

This must be micalijo's brother:D

Only say it as I see it Boo!
If it's crap its crap no amount of bullshit transforms it into something better!
If it shows signs of improvement then it can only be good
Even you can't have enjoyed the last few weeks!!!

You never get excited with anything to do with United - no idea why you bother at times. Sounds like a deal though. I'll concentrate on McCabe and his debt.

Knew I'd get some stick (even though I said I enjoyed the game - impossible not to though) but the venom behind some of the stuff above is ridiculous in my opinion. Same as my stuff at Blackwell you'll say, so fair enough I suppose but there's a couple that have gone way over the top. I don't think I'm ever as aggressive as some of this. There'll be no apology and he'll get lauded as a hero.

If I had said - 'I think we'll lose at Forest. I don't think we are good enough to win a big away game. Bristol will struggle to win another game playing like that and Blackwell at last has picked a decent side' - would it have made any difference? That is basically what I said and I don't see that as outrageous or spoiling anyone's night.

I think the issue is Mic, and it's been the same no matter the manager or season since I've been frequenting messageboards.... when we play well, and the majority are happy, no one wants a buzzkill trying to bring them down. So, of course they're going to have a go at you.

Why not simply enjoy the performance and pick over the bones a couple of days after? EVERYONE knows things aren't perfect, but for 45 minutes yesterday, we were able to forget that.

It's like enjoying Christmas after a relative has died and someone says "yeah, but Steve's still dead".

By the way, Micalijo, how did your favourite football-playing side (Barnsley) led by their brilliant young manager get on yesterday?
