You see you've summed up your own shortcomings.
With the first part you have listened to mccabe and not heard what he said. I presumme you are refering to cutting wages quality players etc. if anyone can get a copy of that interview then listen again and he has done what he said.
Example is the latest Trevor Birch interview. Everyone says we have the 4th highest wage bill 'Trevor Birch comfirmed this' - No he did not listen again and the truth will set you free.
In the words of one very well respected top lady on here.
'a pill of "read (or listen and hear) what it fucking says" wouldn't go amiss either'.
Actually, no, Boo. I'm not referring to cutting wages quality players etc. Nor am I referring to the 4th highest wage bill. I recognise these as true although the quality players bit is debatable as we seem to have sold most of these. Another pill of "Don't fucking jump to conclusions" wouldn't go amiss either.
Nice of you to point out my own shortcomings though, Boo. Arrogant maybe, but nice.
My main gripe with McCabe was and to some extent still is exactly what I stated above and this was at the time of McCabe's further extension of his empire into Hungary. So no, not based on recent interviews at all either with McCabe or Birch the latter of which was about as honest as I have heard from the club.
It goes back to the interviews around then. All the PR about how well run we were and how other clubs looked up to us as an example of how to run a football club. There were no mentions then of a looming debt situation. Or any explanation of how well run could be construed as 50 million in debt. (and yes, I do understand that some of this is assets).
And all this 'we' business concerning Fradi. As in we can send our promising youngsters over there; we'll be able to harvest the best Hungarian talent; we'll be able to use Fradi to assist in getting work permits; we can bring our academies into alignment. All that stuff. Mentioned in the same breath as increased and diversified revenue streams of course.
Now, when being interviewed either by SUFC official press officer/website or even radio Sheffield as Chairman of SUFC and he uses the word 'we', it does rather tend to imply that SUFC has an interest in Fradi, does it not? It was really only later, in fact very recently that this 'misapprehension' was cleared up by McCabe when he stated that SUFC does not have any interest at all in Fradi.
Fradi fans are just as confused as we were. They sincerely believe that SUFC are their sister club and are linked. They have heard the same promises as we have - and here, yes we can talk about Europe in 5 years, quality players and shiny new stadium. And they are beginning to feel as disillusioned as some of our own fans.
Since the initial purchase there has been a flow of SUFC players, staff and ex-our Turry and no real mention of who exactly pays for all this. What the contractual arrangements are.
I don't think McCabe has lied to us exactly. Beattie might well have had a chest infection

. But he has been a little, elusive, shall we say? A touch of the Alastair Campbell about him. All I want is for him to be brutally honest with us and unfortunately, this seems to be only a recent development. If it weren't, just how come a large section of our fanbase was totally shocked by the amount of our debt?
Or were they in fact right on Radio Sheffield and most of us are certifiable as moronic?
