Does Leon Clarke get a look in now?

So who would you have on the bench next week to replace Sharp then?

The jury is still out on all our players so far as this league is concerned, no-one's a concrete shoe-in, so I don't think playing Leon is as unthinkable as some may feel. Certainly worth a striker's place on the bench now Billy's out.

(I have been drinking heavily since f/T today)

He should not be blamed.

He should not be on the pitch though as he is barely good enough for The Championship these days. Never mind The Premier League.

I’ll have to agree with that. It’s a sad set of circumstances that’s led to him being on the pitch.

Ched would have smashed it...

Also Sharp has to take some of the blame, if not for his stupid stamp against Southampton he would have been there

Did well to make the run and get himself in that position. He was just offside, I think, anyway, should it have gone in. Didn't embarrass himself at all.

He scores that goal and everyone's reaction on here is different. Fact. Seems leon is the new scapegoat?

I was very surprised to see him come on from completely out of the cold. Surely Freeman in an advanced role would have been more effective. Reminded me of the Sheffield derby when he didn’t bring Sharp on and went with that useless wetwipe from Man Utd instead.
