Blades going under the radar

I disagree that its gone under the radar.

Agree, there have been loads of articles and comments on us.

I'd also say that despite being absolutely delighted with how we're doing, it's still way too early to be talking about us as 'dark horses'. If we're maintaining this points per game ratio after another 6 games or so then maybe, but 4 games into a season is nothing. Where were we after 4 games in the league one title winning season!?

Exactly, i'm actually getting bored of reading about us in such cliched ways. Nobody expected it, just like when we went from League 1 to Championship, but the reality was that if anyone had paid any attention or researched the three sides coming up, then we were perhaps the most likely to have the momentum and potential to cause a few upsets, at least in the early season.

I actually think that we're doing as well as expected, I do think that we will improve, before dropping off a bit. Villa will most probably build during the season as they have a more experienced squad. Norwich, i don't know

But as for making dark horse claims, yes its too early to judge on 4 games.

We also couldn't really have asked for a better set of fixtures to get going so while it can be very superficially nice to see us ahead of the other two promoted teams, we're one point ahead.

Under the radar is nonsense though and like Swiss, I'd be much happier if I hadn't seen so many articles regurgitating the same cliches. Far better if we really were under the radar.

We haven’t gone under the radar on dedicated football media, particularly in print, however the mainstream media is still largely ignoring us.

Just listened to the 5 Live Premier League weekend preview show and for the third straight week our game wasn’t even previewed. I think the only time we have been mentioned on that program so far was the first show when we were confidently predicted to finish 20th.

You've been listening to 'them lot'.

Leicester, favourites to break into top six and strong away from home.
Palace - the only side to win against the big six away - very strong away from home.
Bournemouth - very strong at home mid table.
Chelsea - In transition but still likely top 6.

It's nowhere near the easiest set of fixtures going.

What would have been then? Norwich at home, Newcastle A, Bournemouth H, Brighton A is the best I can think of.

Can't disagree with any of that, the ones that haven't seen us play are obvious as soon as they open their mouths.

We're doing about as well as I thought we would too, the biggest surprise being the 2nd half comeback at Chelsea. Very impressive and very encouraging.

Like you say, I think we can still play better - I had us to finish 13th this season in the predictions 🤞

It’s seems pretty much impossible for any team to go under the radar in the PL 1001 geeky little Herberts are banging out pieces about us, desperate for attention - 95% of what’s written is shallow, 2nd hand bollocks. The price of fame eh?

I work from home and listen to hours of Talksport and 5Live every day.
We’re not going under the radio regards publicity and in general the feedback has been positive, makes a refreshing change.

However it’s like deja-vu and very similar to the early days when we went up from league 1 to the Championship.
Everyone still seems to think we are performing ABOVE our level due to MOMENTUM.
I’ve heard us being compared to Huddersfield’s first season where we are surprisingly a few teams.
However it’s all very clear that most fans and pundits are dismissive regards our credentials and quality.
And are still convinced we’ll still finish bottom 6.

Paul Scholes was the only guest on that first episode not to have us in the bottom 3... (but I suspect that's because he forgot we exist).
