KB claims he missed out on potential new signings last week. Does anybody know who these players were?? A left back from Africa who failed a medical on friday was one of them. FFS! Failed a medical on friday? Surely, you see if the guys fit before allowing him to train all week and wasting everyone's time.
Blackwell says that a CB & LB are his targets. I would have thought a creative CM would have been on his list also.
I just pray that 5pm on monday doesn't come and go without these positions being covered.

The reason for a medical is to pick up any underlying injuries a normal trial won't pick up.
The reason for the trial is to see if you're interested in that player

Blackwell says that a CB & LB are his targets.

Good

Creative CM? I would have though with 4 CMs to chose from in Williamson, Harper, Monty, Quinn then that would be the least of our worries.

Although I'm not keen on loans, the loan window does open again a week on Monday. Maybe if we can't get what we want tomorrow, there will be a chance later. Maybe its not available. Who knows..?

Unfortunately none of them are particularly creative (well maybe Williamson when fit) and Blackwell thinks that the way to create goalscoring opportunities is to play all four across midfield and no natural width! Tool.

We have been crying out for a creative midfielder for 8/9 years. Maybe we should accept that creative players at othe clubs have it knocke out of them when they come here.

A CM, LB and CB must be bought (more probably loaned).

have i just read, in the same sentence MONTGOMERY and CREATIVE. If so im worried, as for harper he'd look great sorting traffic out in the middle of a busy junction.
i think your right about players though, they seem to be great till they come here. Can only think thats our tactics that we play but what do you expect from a poor mans warnock.
cant see us signing anyone prolific looks like where in the shit in money terms, if any thing can see a shock like monty or ward moving the other way, thats the united i knowe.

unfortunatly under blackwell and his team with the tactics he plays, dont think theres any chance of us seeing the promised land too soon, looks like its going to be the seasonal trip to scunthorpe, ipswich for the long term me thinks.

No point in getting a creative centre mid, we don't play in a way that is conducive to such a player. Harper, Monty and Willo are fine to choose from for that area.

Defence is another matter altogether.

My point was, we already have 4 CM's, whether you want to call them creative or not is another matter.

A 5th CM would and should mean one of the others leaving. I can't see any off the 4 current ones going, so a CM ('creative' or otherwise) is not essential.

well goodbye to one of them
williamson - as much as he has promised and i like the bloke he is to injury prone, to be able to play one game in four games a season is no good.
quinn - hot and cold, one game i feel hes getting to how he was playing when we were in the prem then next dont evan realise hes on the pitch.
harper - read above comment about traffic.
that leaves monty who we all no has little faults does his job great and with a good creative attacking midfielder next to him would be even better.

so i understand your point but even though we have 4 CM you may aswell say one its like driving a car with 3 of the 4 wheels punctured even though you can try and get to the destination more than likely ul fall short.

But KB will always pick these players.

Quinn is his love child.
Monty gets games.
Williamson is in favour when fit.
Harper has just signed on a perm.

Then get rid of Blacko and bring in a manager who understands football - Steve Coppell. To say there's no point in bringing in creative players because we don't play that way puts the cart before the horse. Do we want to play sterile, mind-numbing hoofball for eternity?

Spadge, What does 'ul' mean and in which language?

its short for 'you will' pinchy, sorry forgot the punctuation and grammer police are already up and about (get a life) cough cough

Txt Spk:

Avoid txt spk on the forums................You have unlimited space, a full keyboard, numerous spellcheckers and an edit post button at your disposal. Please use them

You did read the intro bit, didn't you? I'm not the only one annoyed by "txt spk". If you can't be bothered to type it out properly then don't bother typing it at all. Spelling mistakes are fine, everyone does them, and if in doubt use the spell checker. But "txt spk" is just bloody idle.

Get a life? Get spell checking.

Absolutely spot on , but that costs money and apparently we don't have any for some mysterious reason !

I have got spell checker, but i did not think that it was that hard to read, if my main problem in life is that i add few words in text speak because i have other things to do than sit on here all day picking people up for there grammer and punctuation. Then i guess i dont lead that much of a bad life. Unfortunatly i think theres people on here that need to get out just that little bit more. :)

One of the problems with "txt speak", is that not only do other native English speakers struggle reading it at times, we also have a large readership who don't have English as a first language. This can make it incredibly difficult to read your point/opinion.

No shit Sherlock, I'm one of them. Unfortunately, and you'll note that's with an "E", having such things as a child and a mortgage mean I have more time to pick on your crap spelling.

Personally I think there are people on here who could have done with some more one-on-one tuition in their remedial classes, instead of just doing finger painting, but there you go.

my finger painting got me 9 gcses a-c 3 alevels and a degree aswell as into the raf, its called just rushing to get a post in and not expecting every time to argue with someone over it because all they do in there boring sad little lives is come on here to argue with people because there home lives probably ARE NOT that stable.

yes but it is not spelt (txt) is it, that is wrong and you should be sent back to nursery where you will be made to start all over again because you are lazy and thick because you couldnt be bothered to add another letter in the word boo to you

its called just rushing to get a post in..

Don't rush, take your time. Have a bit of a think. Have a biscuit. Re-read your post before you submit it. You're not flying jets low just to piss off Welsh farmers now, have a breather.

By the way, if it is you that flies really low just to fuck the Taffies off, well done chap.:D

well because where all blades i will try and take a bit more time for all you fellow gents and ladies out there :) up the blades

Most posts on here contain spelling mistakes or small grammatical errors. I never pick anyone up on it. Some people are not intellectuals and I would not deny anyone their say simply because they have insufficient learning to understand the rules of the language. Others perhaps make the odd mistake, even me. That's no problem either. Neither group will get any grief from me.

What I object to is the gross discourtesy of deliberately misusing and abusing the language. It is disrespectful to your intended recepients to ignore our common language in favour of one that suits you.

If you have 3 A levels you ought to be ashamed of your literary standards. I would have refused to mark your paper if you submitted it in the style you have adopted here.

Of which two of those midfielders are woeful (Quinn and Monty), one is always injured (Williamson) and one will be gone by May (Harper).

that is why we need at least one central midfield player along with one centre back and a left back.

Presume Blackwell was after either Fitz Hall or Martin Taylor

Do you mind, we're trying to have a debate about the heinous crime of text speak here.
