Saw him playing on Saturday. Doncaster were awful. Whiteman was their best player. He's big, box to box, looked to make things happen but was being let down by the players around him. He'll be comfortable a level up. Reminded me of Ryan Leonard a bit. Doncaster will be in trouble this season if they sell him. They've lost all of their best players from last season.

He was unfortunate that we progressed as quick as we did.

It was the sensible thing for him to leave and find his way in the game and I'm glad he's making good steps now. He's a decent lad too and worked his arse off to make it after leaving Man U.
Well in that case I hope Donny do reject offers and hang on for the best fee they can get for him (and therefore us).

He’ll play in the premier league one day. He reminds me a bit of Conor Coady (before his move to CB)

Not too dissimilar in frame & stature, but Whiteman is a little more forward thinking than Coady & likes to be on the ball a lot more. Also doesn't mind having a go from distance and attacks the box.

Coady more of an athlete & gets his foot in better. Their League 1 selves would have balanced each other really nicely if they could have aligned.

I see a lot of potential in Whiteman, (tin hat on) more than I see in Lundstram. He's the only one from recent times that I think we may have let go of a little too early, another loan may have suited us better. Hindsight now tells us that our progress would have been too quick for him, but we weren't to know that at the time & if we were still in the Championship he'd be one I'd like to have brought back for this upcoming season.

Me too. If we were to sell Lundstram and sign Whiteman even now I’d be relatively pleased.

I’ve never seen more potential in Lundstram than I did in Whiteman so it sticks in my teeth that we signed him and got rid of ‘wonn ov are ooern’

Lundstram can’t catch a break on here, Jesus.

A lot of us don't rate him, which I think is fair enough. He's not shown much in his time on the field & many believe the correlation between him starting & us losing is not a coincidence. I'm yet to see a Championship player in him, let alone Prem.
