What More Do We Need?

May be wrong but my guess is Wilder will stick with Bash Egan and JOC.

Norwood could be the one to miss out if Morrison looks the part.

Matt Phillips signs and Baldock goes.

What more do we need?

For the love of MOAR. We need MOAR.

Those saying hold off on a CRB till Jan I say Why? We could be in deep shit and it's rare a club mired down the bottom at that stage survives.
I don't think that will be the case as I agree with a number of others we will be fine.
But just in case.
For the love of MOAR.

Jags is more than qualified, super fit and experienced. Why buy another bench warmer until we've seen what the Wilder master plan is? :)

What we need now is for the season to start and unlike in 06-07 be judged properly, I hate VAR but it may help us this season. When we're in top division we always get the shit end of the wedge, I'd love us to get the rub of the green for once sorry for clichés.

I have a feeling unfortunately all of our goals will be reviewed and those against us won’t, especially against the premiership elite.
Perhaps I am being a little bit negative, any way can’t wait for it to start ! UTB.

Celtic!!! 🤣🤣 why on earth would he go there! Be like dropping down to division 1!

Our wages will almost certainly be the lowest in the Premier League.

Celtic are about to trouser £25m for a half decent RB as Arsenal are desperate, so willing to overpay. Celtic may have to shell some of these gains, to demonstrate to their own fans what a big club they are in Britain. Taking a PL player would do this, so they could offer higher wages than us to make this a 'trophy' signing.

Just conjecture on my part, but wages can be the only reason why Baldock wouldn't want to give it a good go at his first ever chance of PL football.

I think it's fair to say that we're good for attacking options now!

Personally, I think we need a RCB to challenge Bash/give us the ability to push him forward, a CM to compete with Norwood and a GK just in case Henderson gets injured. I don't think Moore is good enough.

I'm not sure we'll get all three but hopefully a couple more. We have a loan spot left, for a start.

CM cover
LWB competition
RCB competition. I can't believe we're still looking at that, and Cranie started his next season tonight.

I believe Osborn can play LWB so would presume that is taken care of.

Stearman couldn't play there in the Championship and I doubt a 37 year old can!
Not sure what relevance age is if your as fit and pumped as Jags is. Don't buy into the overage stereotyping personally. :)

Exactly.

This isn't the Championship where we can take a casual 'let's see where we are in January and go from there' approach where the target may loosely be to push towards the top 6, with little pressure and no serious consequences for failing.

It's about survival now and is a major challenge.

Additionally, the first half of the season is where I think we'll be expecting and targeting the most points, due to momentum and fixtures.

We can't be taking any chances. Anything we can do, anything we might need to do, should be done now. Not in January.

And I don't think there's much left. I think we'd get away with what we've got.

But to make sure, we need to strengthen the right/central area and probably bring in a decent backup GK.

Wilder knows all this. I just hope we bring in a proper option for RWB.

Well we'll see what his motivation is.
