Did he play for them in the Prem? Surely he was still in nappies last time they ate at the top table...

Edit...he was born in January 1987, so he was 13 when they got relegated. My point stands. Find me a pig fan that played for them in the top division.
Just asked a piggie friend of mine that question. He said Chris Waddle.

It's magnificent isn't it? Saw it this morning after going to sainsburys. A local lad made good, about to play in the premier league for his boyhood club.

Who was the last pig fan to play for them in the top flight of English football? Surely there must be one...even if he is drawing his pension these days...

Think they had to send Swan to prison.

Did Sterland play for Wednesday post 1992?

He was in the Leeds squad that won the old First division title in 1991/92.

Wasn't Sterland a Blade growing up, hence his appearance in When Saturday Comes?
That was the year when all the Equity card holders were on strike.
No bona-fide extras contributed to any film until their contractual demands were met.
Sterland was so convincing in his role, he's starred in numerous shop window displays on fargate, The Moor and Meadowhall.
When asked what his ultimate role would be, he said ''Choo-Choo The Laughing Dog'' at The Trafford Centre.

Sterland & Thirsty's only known audition photograph.

Completely agree. As one of many examples they are now spaffing themselves over the return of their magical midfield trio, Banana, Crutchinson and biscuit hip Lee. Jesus wept, 2 of them will be lucky to play 20 games and the other isn't anything like as good as they make him out to be. Pelupissy and a couple of scraps from the academy make up their current CM cadre.
Compare that to our options, Norwood, Fleck, Morrison, Freeman, Osborne, Lundstram, Basham, all fit as a fiddle with genuine quality, possibly with more to come in. Yet you can bet your bottom dollar that they still think they have the better midfield.

I don't see them doing anything special this season. There are already at least 10 teams who are significantly stronger than them, with stable management and younger fitter squads. Mid table at best, but I wouldn't rule out a flirt with relegation either.

If we were to come straight back down, which I highly doubt we will, we will still be light years ahead of them on and off the pitch. That may flip back in their favour a few years down the line but for now there really is only one team of any note in this City.
Don't you know none of our players would get in their team 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

David Hirst...... from dinglesville so he could have been a pig? talking of which what happened to the next big thing his lad another Diego De Juve by any chance?

and you know what? If we were to be relegated I would not fear a derby. I'm sounding like one of them now but I see that as the year on year improvement Wilder has made to the match day team and squad.

Gone to Leicester. Went to Holland first so that Wednesday would get shafted.

If they'd sent him out on loan or given him minutes, he'd probably still have gone to Leicester, but they'd have got a good fee.

Kept him rotting in the reserves though, he refused his contract and buggered off to Europe on a free. Don't know if they get compensated, but it'll just be that under 23 academy money, couple of hundred grand.

Fat, mulleted Geordie Chris waddle? Yep, I'm sure he grew up as a die hard wendy...

Me Mam, rest her, lived over that side of town. Me Sundays were spent making sure she was okay etc. This particular Sunday Mam wasn't so good and after a while I had to take my leave. Went t'ert Devonshire for some elixir. Abbeydale's Moonshine.
Sky footy, Spurs. I remember Aaron Lennon burst into the box, smashed the ball over from about 10 yrds.
Bit of consternation from someone to my left.
"You can do better "? I sez in my mood.

That someone to my left was Chris Waddle.

Phoned missus up. "Come and pick me up, quick like".

Driving into Sheff this morning and was greeted by a large pic of our captain advertising the Premier League on Sky. It’s just opposite the big Sainsbury’s, a couple of hundred yards from the theatre of rust - whoever is responsible, that is top trolling! Glad to get a pic before it’s inevitably defaced by our arrogant porcine neighbours.View attachment 58339
Brilliant

He can smash a ball over from 12 yards, is that better?

As a slight aside how tough is it for them at the moment, they must be absolutely shitting themselves at the thought of the coming season, on their forum they are laughing at our non premier league signings, but inside boy are they hurting, and I for one think it's going to get an awful lot tougher because it's our time, we are on the up and they are at best staying a mid table championship club, lets hope Tony Pulis or Megson is announced soon, can you imagine that.

I live amongst them, they really are suffering. Their latest is attempts at being magnanimous, because they know 😁

Anyone in sight of it today who can post an update on its condition? With the Piglets down there en masse today I doubt it will have escaped some form of artistic 'modifications' :)

There's no fucker there.

I know mate, just posted the same in the shoutbox 😂

In an article in The Sun today, Pochettino recommends friend for piggery post
But the best piece of the article is this...

“Wednesday initially wanted a domestic manager, preferably with experience, but few out-of-work bosses have appealed to them so far.”

Fuck me even the out of work know what a mess it is there
Shit ground, wank players, uninterested owner, only 20 odd thousand of the 1.3billion massive turn up every other week

From the back seat of a mini bus taking out of work managers for the annual summer day out to Skegvegas came the chant
“I’d rather be on the dole than a pig”

haha! And when the league insisted a BAME had to be interviewed they thought they were being nice!
