But wow. What a quality performance in terrible weather to play football in.

All 4 goals great but the last 2 in particular were seriously classy team goals. Premier League quality. Robinson’s solo effort was sublime too.

Osborn, Robinson, Freeman and Morrison all fitting in seamlessly. Very impressed and very excited.

And my prediction for the season: Callum Robinson will be our player of the year. He’s worth a few mil more than when he signed him already.

On the whole pretty impressive I thought. Osborn did okay & looked comfortable, Robinson looked very very good, totally different to anything we have had in a while now & seemed to link up well with Didsy too. Fleck grew into the game & just got better, as did Freeman later on, & a nice little cameo from Morrison, didn't have much to do but looked athletic with good movement & obviously has class on the ball. Only downside was Ollie looked a bit hit & miss but nothing concerning at this stage.

I'm shocked we got Robinson for so cheap, and that more clubs weren't interested in him. For me, he's definitely good enough for teams in the mid-table like Leicester and West Ham. Bargain.

We have got tons of creativity and flare now. The question could be whether we have enough mettle in the middle of the park. Still think we need a nasty sod to enforce things and of course the other striker that we all want.

Looking very good so far though.

CM is a weak spot and I think right back as well. Baldrock, I think, will be exposed in the Prem. He's a fine backup player, but I think we need a more premier league class rb to start.

I think Wilder will stick with 2 RWBs for now, rotating them accordingly and then assess in January. I think of the 2 Baldock will cope better tbh.

Got some good options now with Morrison,Freeman,Osborn and Robinson and Mousset up front with Billy and McGoldrick,if we can get McBurnie we will be sorted

Good win but I don’t take anything out of friendlies, other than getting the players fitness up it has no bearing on how a season will pan out.

There’s no doubt that we’re already a better team and have a better squad than last year though.

Loan signing. Surely we are going to use that last loan
If we loan a player we’ll be expected to play him most games. I’m wondering if CW will wait until January when he can see where we need strengthening most. If we do get McBurnie then there can’t be a huge amount left in the transfer pot and we’ll need freshening up a bit in the JTW.

You can’t just pretend those goals didn’t happen. They were premier league quality goals. Sublime.

Hope they print the names in large bold print so I know who they all are, it's looking like a completely new team from last season, exciting times, when did we ever come close to a window as good as this, and it isn't finished yet! Just sort out the boardroom issues before the 10 th Aug.

Someone tell me it's not all going to end in tears, we said a couple of years back about enjoying the ride well the ride could just be about to take off

Wonder if he's going to hold back on the other loan until January, maybe when a certain Reece James is back fit?

Definitely seem serious this year, I don't see us as that plucky team on a shoestring anymore ok we haven't blown 50 million quid on one player but it's going to be in excess of 40 million with some great acquisitions and a couple of gambles as a bonus.

This side now would Piss the Championship by about 10 points.

Good goals mate but we were only playing a recently promoted team from league one. Basically it’s easier to score goals like that against far weaker opposition. We’re looking good but I wouldn’t change my thoughts on this whether we won or lost mate. Match fitness is the aim of the game for the here and now.

It's a tough one BB.

My take is that we need to get off to the best start possible. Surely Wilder's budget wasn't meant to be for the whole season? Surely he'll be given a further budget come January? If CW can strengthen now then I vote he does exactly that.

I do get your point, but by January we may have regrets about what we should have done.

Yes as soon as he signed he was effectively worth more. He is a Prem player now.........

I don't think this applies in the Premier League. Anyone who we're loaning will be loaned because they aren't good enough for that team, not because they're a youngster going out to impress.
