Yeah I read that too and it sounds all so mundane to me. Employee asks for pay rise, gets told to get lost etc. blah blah. Its the bit that comes after which I keep going on about, i.e., the ostracisation of the guy and the lemmings on here who are slavishly joining the hanging party. My take on it is that Wilder reckons he's got a replacement for Duffy at last and as they've never seen eye to eye he sees it as an opportunity to finally fuck him off, after about four failed attempts previously (Holmes, Evans, Carruthers, Dowell). Personally I wouldn't be so hasty on this given past events.
