Swansea have just sold Ayew to Crystal Palace....

Guess that along with the James sale put them under less pressure to sell OM this month.

Financially perhaps. Agent and player loadsapresha. Only one outcome here, same as Maupay. Wait and see.

I'd venture we'd lose more than two games, and possibly in succession, but should hysteria descend you can bet that a finger is pointed at Wilder. We may be up against it this time round, but if we survive and retain our Prem status then Wilder will have achieved a minor miracle.

Well do better than that mate, I really think so.

Never seen a smarter manager than Wilder or a more together team capable of playing really good, different, style of football.

I think we’ll have a very good start, a tough end of year, but finish in the top half.

Hope you're right.

I think this deal could be dead now. Swansea made it clear they wanted 20m...but after selling James and Ayew, I really see no need for them to sell McBurnie this late in the window. It would be suicidal.

Hate to admit it but I agree here, im clutching at the fact he wants a move closer to home rather than the likelihood of Swansea allowing him to leave for a fee wilder see fit

Swansea wanted to raise £30m in sales apparently.

Ayew takes them to about £20m.

So they're possibly under less pressure now to squeeze every penny they can get for McBurnie.

We do need to get a move on though. It has to start progressing early next week.

RC said early next week. Articles in the Yorkshire Post and by Danny04 suggest that once the Henderson and Osborn deals are concluded that Wilder will 'redouble' his efforts to get McBurnie.

CW has mad eit clear he wants a striker, cant see any evidence that suggests any deal is dead.

Swansea made it clear they wanted 20m....that was BEFORE they sold their other striker. I'm not saying the deal is dead, I'm saying it's more unlikely after that deal. Unless of course they want to replicate what we did under Spackman.

It depends....you can bet that Swansea will have been investigating a decent striker replacement.
They might have a plan where they bring in 17 million for McBurnie
And at the same time pay out 7 million for a decent striker, then they’re up 10 million doing their bank manager happy.

I’ve mentioned this before.
Maupay and McBurnie have both had ONE-OFF great seasons pushing their value up to 15 million each.
If either of them have ordinary/ normal seasons next year.......which is very possible. Then their value slips down to 10 million.
In the circumstances 17 million for either player must be seriously tempting.
The rip-off 20 million valuation is just based on them hoping to squeeze out extra millions based on the fact that PL clubs can afford it.

Not quite sure I agree with you on McBurnie, he banged goals in for Barnsley too whilst on loan with them.

Personally I think wilder knows the price, but needs to finish the Other business before he knows whether we can afford McBurnie or not.

No point blowing your load on a striker and leaving yourself short elsewhere, with Henderson now taking a bigger chunk than expected
How do you know that ? Wilder refused to pay £2 million loan fee
. ,I think most fans agreed with that stance

I was speaking to a well informed and a slightly connected Bradford City fan yesterday, He was adamant that BCFC, have a a large sell on clause, could this be the hitch in the deal?

We will let Bradford have Clarke and Evans instead of paying them.

They have a widely reported 15% on any profit.

Get this done and a RWB and we’re set.
I think the back 5 are the positions CW least wants to meddle with. They are the players that make our system so unique and so powerful. Any players coming into those positions have the most to adapt to and learn.

After another striker I'm curious to see if we will use our second loan spot.

How do I know what? I am not presuming anything. My point was that you have to get your priorities in and make sure get your players. It looks from the outside that we are paying more than we thought we were going to for Henderson and wilder needed to make sure this was over the line to know what he had left
