So what you are saying is that everybody on here knows exactly what's going onI think I can safely say nobody on here hasn’t got the foggiest idea of what’s going on.
...... and that there's no cash to spend. So what you are saying is that everybody on here knows exactly what's going on
Those double negatives are tricky little devils aren't they.So what you are saying is that everybody on here knows exactly what's going on
Would we be more attractive to a 'top' permanent keeper going into our second season in the top flight? No matter how much I like Dean Henderson, this saga is starting to drag on like a seals arse. I honestly think we should be looking to sign a permanent keeper anyway. If Henderson does come we’re just going to be in the same situation at the end of this coming season. Why not sign a permanent keeper who wants to be here for the long term? In a way I don’t want to help out that shit cunt of a club Man U anymore than we have too.
Would we be more attractive to a 'top' permanent keeper going into our second season in the top flight?
Or would we be stuck paying for an expensive permanent keeper if we fail to stop up.
Dean is the best choice this season.
Yes I fucked upSo what you are saying is that everybody on here knows exactly what's going on
Could be Chippy. He’s already said that from Tuesday, he’s going to start formulating the team that will start the first game, and I would imagine that the goalkeeper position (being specialist) is the one that most teams get sorted pretty early like we did last season. He’ll desperately want Henderson onboard but he’ll also be aware that as it gets closer to the wire he can’t afford to take the risk of having to search for leftover scraps in the final few days before the deadline and then try to integrate a new keeper to our players and style. He can’t rely on ManU to do the right thing and speed things at their end up because at the end of the day their priority is doing what’s right for them, and so I think it’s shit or bust over the next few days. We’ll either sign him by midweek or we’ll move on and bring another keeper in. Let’s hope Hendo realises the situation Wilder is in if it is down to his contact negotiations but just like a ManU and us, he’s got to look after himself. Its all abaht £'s to me and how Wilder is putting his point forward,,,,,,Henderson from 4.45. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p07hffkp
Maybe this is why Wilder sounds grumpy.
Man u are being foolish here. They are willing to pay Sanchez 400k a week but want us to stump up full wages for making one of thier assets a lot more valuable? I'd tell them to get stuffed tbh
£80000 a week for being a reserve team goalkeeper. I know we live in different times but the world has gone fucking mad.
They’ve also appeared to spend substantially more than the worth of the players. We are understandably more reluctant to do so.
It'll be his agent demanding £75k a week, and as we all know, football agents are cunts.Let me say this first....What Hendo brings to the team is more than his keeping ability.
However,
75k a week for him is simply ridiculous, as 4th choice keeper you simply cannot comprehend how crazy that is. And for that sort of cash I’m afraid I feel that puts him out of keeping with our club at the moment. Regardless of whether we pay a proportion of that amount, having him here at such a young age on that kind of money just doesn’t fit out club. He’s never played premier league and won’t get a chance with another prem side where he will play every week.
If the lad was so hell bent on personal development over wealth then he would either ask for a transfer or sign a more relevant contract and get his game time. He’s running the risk of ending up in the championship next season. He’s at least 2 years away from the Man U team, possibly up to 5 depending on whether De Geas deal is just designed to push his value up or keep him there.
Whoever is advising him should be asking for a transfer...and United should have been his destination with a suitable buy back clause included for Man U after 3 years/or relegation should they wish to take it up.
Good point, and on balance I prefer our approach to theirs. But I have also wondered a couple of times if it would’ve been worth paying a bit extra to get the players we want through the door earlier, integrated into the squad, etc.
I know what you mean but once you break your rule for one, all the others will start holding out thinking they can force your hand. And suddenly they start thinking they can demand an extra 2/3k per week as you quickly agreed the previous offer.
Agreed, you have to know where you're going to draw the line from the start and stick to it.I know what you mean but once you break your rule for one, all the others will start holding out thinking they can force your hand. If I was a Villa fan I'd have liked them to have been harder with their negotiations because I'd feel that better options were out there with the money that they've thrown around.
In the words of Donald Rumsfeld:Is there any fact to all this?
Do we know for certain that the reason for the delay, is due to wage demands, or is this all guess work??
Asking for a friend....
If I was Chris I would be on the phone to Henderson 1st thing Monday, apologising that we can't wait any longer we have waited far to long with just under 3 weeks left until the season starts.Thank him for all his efforts last season and wish him well in the future. Then ring Man U tell them the deal is off if there is actually a deal in place of course.
Then set about signing a Permanent keeper we must have someone in mind incase the Henderson deal didn't happen surely.
I know Man U are a big club but I'm sorry we shouldn't be messed about by them or anybody else we are better than that.
Both Clubs would benefit from this deal arguably more Man U.
We would get a potentially full international keeper for the season, Man U would get to see him perform in the Premiership.
But we would also be hindered slightly by the deal by the fact I'm sure Henderson wouldn't be allowed to play against Man U.
I personally don't get the Henderson hype( and I'm not just saying it because he hasn't joined us yet) but I'm not entirely convinced by him(was last season more to do with our defence) and certainly have my doubts about him being good enough for the Premiership just yet, which means we are taking all the risks for Man U.
