How’s Henderson mugged us off? The only say he’s got in anything that’s happened so far is in his own contract with ManU. This is 100% down to ManU making sure their own house is in order before they decide to release him, nothing to do with Hendo himself. I’m sure he’s as pissed off with it all as we are but as some have already said, he could just turn up and play the last couple of friendlies and be match ready day one.

Why? Henderson played with the entire defence (with the exception of Jagielka) for the whole of last season. The first game is still 3 weeks away. He'll be doing pre-season with Man Utd. Even if he doesn't rejoin Utd for another 2 weeks, it will be fine - not ideal but still fine.

At the end of the season didn't Ole say Henderson would be going out on loan next season (this) to further his education and career but it will be to a premiership club, if he is sticking with that who else other than us will be interested at this relatively short time? I would have thought clubs in the Premier league will all have their first choices sorted, so assuming all of the above is still correct he is coming back to us, sorted

Wilder is all for value for money and if in his opinion Man U want too much he will walk away.
Yes Henderson is a good keeper but still has a lot to learn, great shot stopper but does not command his area as he should and we would be developing someone else’s talent.
At the right price it’s a no brainier, if they want too much we walk away.

I think the time to buy a goalkeeper has passed if they were going to be fully integrated. So there's no rush there, give it a week to get Dean to Singapore and back, hopefully with a new contract and if there's no movement by then, get going on signing Randolph or Etheridge or whoever else that's not Joe Hart.

We can wait for Dean to get here, but we can't do it with any uncertainty over whether he'll eventually turn up. The risk is too great.

Still think he'll turn up personally. Contracts just move at a glacial pace in football.

I agree. But we could do with some clarification on this. If SUFC said he’ll sign after he gets back then fine. But I dont think him going away with MUFC is a good sign at all.

The issue isn't the time Henderson has with us before the season, it's how long we leave it if he wasnt to come.

As it stands we need two keepers and as much as I like Simon Moore, I'm far from convinced he's up to the job as our number 1 next season.

We must have irons in the fire for another keeper anyway, just hope all our eggs aren't in one basket for a number 1.

Yes. Clubs don’t send players with one year left on their contract out on loan (if they’re looking to keep them). So he’ll be going nowhere until he’s signed the new contract.
