Alright guys,
A positive praising thread.
This doesn't mean we are not constructive in commenting, but it is a thread where we can escape what seems to be the ever growing KB bashing, grumbly rants or reoccurring rambles.
Please contribute to this thread the positive things about our players and manager, even the players you might not particularly like.
Maybe this thread will succeed in always praising our fantastic club, or maybe it wont.
So lets have some..... good old blade praise....

I bet this thread drops quicker than a two bob hooker when Terry Robinson's around.

Sorry.....

Well you have to praise Blackwell for getting us to 7th despite the problems this season.

Regardless of the style we seem to somehow be effective.

Oh and I'm quite excited about seeing Harper/Williamson if we do get to see them paired together.

Wonderful effort for Geary to come back and help keep a clean sheet on his first start for well over a year!

Ok i'll have a do

Positives from yesterday.
1) I was starving and my pie was superb.
2) I love it when we score and loads have left and are outside the ground.
3) I realised what a deal we got with the sale of Tonge

In the man's defence he's finally learned how to land a freekick on Morgan's head.

i did love Tonge at the lane but it does seem like a positive move to of sold him.... just hope he can settle at a club like he did with us....

glad the pie was good AW.

although i never rated him... i think i have been proved wrong on my opinion of henderson... some of his hold up play has been really good... and i think we have missed him in the last few games....

I always try to be positive where possible, it doesn't mean that I cheer everything, but try to get things in perspective.

Positives at the moment:

Players - Ward, Camara, Bunn(Finally) and Williamson have all been shining lights lately.

Management - Blackie has recently been able to put round pegs in round holes, still lots of work to do in the Transfer window, but injuries apart we seem to be getting back on track

Home Form/ Defence - Not conceding at home and a back four thats starting to look solid. Big Praise to Killa for sorting his head out... If he keeps his head, I hope we can keep him until the summer and gamble on getting to the Play off's.

Attendances - Although we've had some low points this season, attendances have remained constant!

Biggest Positive - Del Boy! Great to have him back playing the full 90 mins!

nearly choked on my Tuna sarnie with that one

His 'antics ' in Hungary in Hong Kong didn't enhance our reputation which I assume is the reason KM has moved him on:D

The only positive from the season so far is that by some miracle we are 7th. mind you we are only 5 points above Barnsley in 15th which just goes to show what a crazy division it is.

Blackwell gets 0% praise. We are 7th in spite of him not because of him. His tactics are shite, his man-management is shite, his transfer dealings are shite and whilst ever he is in charge we are going no-where.

Players wise, Ward always puts a shift in so gets praise and Williamson looks an excellent prospect if he can stay injury free. Despite giving away a world-record 1 million fouls Henderson gets a mention but only because he has scored 10 goals. The rest have been extremely average at best and some have been diabolical.

The fans get a praise as well. 25,000 regularly turning up to watch the constant shite served up deserve a medal.

McCabe gets a pat on the back for appointing Trevor Birch, who will hopefully start to have a major influence on matters and start to drive the club in the right direction.

Exactly unlike those lot over in S6. :D

Nice one Torrix, in a round about way you gave Blackie praise because he signed Ward, Williamson and Hendo :)

Oh and I'm confused as you praise McCabe for Trevor Birch who has potential and hasn't done anything notable yet (albeit in such a short space of time), but McCabe also appointed Blackie... so is that a grumble at McCabe or a praise for getting Blackie in...

Conceded, Blackwell did sign Ward, Williamson & Hendo so OK to keep you happy Swiss, well done Blackwell for signing those 3 players.......... That said I'm not a massive Hendo fan, but he has scored the goals..

But how much dross has he signed in the meantime and how many "good/promising" players has he signed and then moved on because he can't get the best out of them? So for that I remove my earlier praise.....

I only praised McCabe for the appointment of Trevor Birch, nowt else. That's not too confusing is it swiss?

i think by Easter Trevor Birch will of done some great things.... an after Christmas input is coming... he has had a few weeks to see things in all areas run... i think his approach is perfect... no massive changes too soon... not rubbing anyone up the wrong way by leaping in with size nines...
think he is a very positive move for us...

Cheers Torrix!

Almost all cleared up for me, but (in the style of Columbo)... Just one more thing... you stated earlier that "Blackie gets 0% praise", so now that you have praised Blackie, what is the praise percentage?:D

Still 0% Swiss............He went up to 3% for signing Ward, Williamson and Hendo but then crashed back to 0% for all the other feck-ups!

Can I give a negative score? Sorry, forgot it's apositivity thread!!!

Ciento, the young lady in my profile pick is my missus and contrary to popular belief she isn't being punched in the eye in the picture she was having her make-up applied prior to a glamour shoot....

I can't understand the negativity about our win over PNE. :confused:1/ I thought first half we played some good attacking football and should have had a couple of goals. 2/ As others have said good to see Del boy back. 3/ We are playing the ball on the floor a lot more. The move in the first half from our own area and ending in a shot by Evans was top class football. 4/ Even with the horrendous injuries we've had we are in 7th place.

cheers willie for keeping the positivity coming....

how many injuries have we got coming back in the next two weeks... henderson woundlt suprise me... what about the rest....

Some of the knockers sometimes make you doubt your judgment where footballs concerned. Some said Blackwell did'nt know what he was on about when he said in his interview United had six chances first half and I agreed with him in that the chances we had the game should have been put to bed. I've just watched the highlights on Blades World and it proves that we did have six good chances and none of em' due to so called hoofball. Is that a positive?

The only positive Birch can bring the club is recommending to McCabe that the pathetic manager is removed from his position. Now would be a perfect time.

Birch cannot move the property market in McCabe's favour and he cannot make money grow on trees and he cannot shift season tickets.

Just remember that Trev sells himself as an insolvency expert.
