A couple of days after we signed Alan Quinn, I saw these two little lads in Lily's near the sty on my dinner hour.... they pointed at my Blades badge and were giggling.... I realised instantly that we had signed Geary, as it was he and Quinny senior and while giggling is a bit strong, they were giddily clocking my badge in their old 'local' and clearly discussing the fact that they'd both moved over the city. Previously being in Lily's previously had strong local affinity to them playing just up the road. I couldnt resist going over to them in the 'waiting' queue and asking if Del had signed as well, it was quite a touching moment, to see such sty-faves so pleased to be changing sides.

Nice little story Puppet.

Thanks!

:)

some red-wine (which clearly inducedtoo many 'previously's') and a little beam of pride at our del today brought that story back :)

Yep good performance from Del Boy!

Perhaps a little shakey at times but when that tosser Parkin has clattered you a few times then your bound to be.

couldnt believe he lasted the game out. With his medical problems its a wonder he can still walk never mind play 90 minutes of professional football. Yep a true, honest pro who will always give 100%.

Well done lad!! However, if we have genuine aspirations of promotion this season Del boy should very soon be warming the bench again. We need Walker (or Naughton!!!) back soon.

We signed Alan Quinn on 24th June 2004. We signed Derek Geary on 22nd October 2004 from Stockport County.........
