Just watched a vid with Chris Morgan , Jags and Wilder ( Behind the scenes thing).

I bumped into Morgs in a Pets at Home. Was worried about going up to him for a chat as I bet sometimes they just want to shop without any hassle but said hello and got chatting. Seemed a top bloke and down to earth.

Any good or bad situations when bumping into other players?

I bumped into coutts crossing queens road before last season when he was still recovering and couldn't help myself and shouted COOOOUTTS at him, he was with his missis n kid n I had a little chat to him about his recovery etc, I had my 7 year old daughter with me (who was a Wendy fan) and I said to her "this is sheff utds best player" her reply? "What? He plays for smelly sheff utd?" Paul laughed it off but I could have throttled her lil bugger!

Not a Sheffield United player but years back when he was playing for Wigan I literally walked into Franco Di Santo - busy evening in the Trafford Centre and we both walked round a corner heading opposite days and walked into each other. We both apologised and walked off - 2 days later my mate text me saying he’d been ruled out of the Chelsea game that weekend with a foot injury. I wonder to this day if it was because of me!

He spoke highly of his time at United, Leeds had offered him more money, but he wanted to finish his career under Warnock.

He laughed when I compared him to Beckenbauer, for his part in Danny Webbers goal at Stoke.

Any good or bad situations when bumping into other players?

George Long on a night out in Leeds after we’d won earlier on that day. I’d had a few so naturally kept bowing down to him, which I think scared him off.

Also Mark Yates on a night out a couple of years after he left us. He kept telling me “Kevin Blackwell is a cunt mate”.

Danny Wilson was stood next to me in the pub with his Mrs the evening after we’d won away. Didn’t want to bother him but told him I was happy with the result earlier. I bottled asking him why he was being so negative at home.

Said ayup to Tongue when I was coming out of the club store once. Got a polite reply.

Leon and K.Freeman more recently, both in the train station at different times. Both a bit shy but nice lads.

Also saw Che and McNulty in Waitrose one lunchtime, in the fresh sandwich bit. Didn't feel that inclined to try and talk to them though. They had a bit of swagger about them.

Joe Bolton on Abbeydale Rd, sarnie shop. He was getting into his car and about to drive off leaving his drink on the car's roof. I shouted and told him, he gave a thumbs up and said summert totally indistinguishable from any form of language.

Motorway services. Young lad walked up to a large Merc estate, pen and paper in hand. Tinted winn-der rolled down, Peter Schmeichel inside. Gave him his autograph
and quietly drove off.

CW, playing days under 'Arry. Corner shop on Shoreham st opposite Cherry st. Eating the biggest sarnie I have ever seen. It had some green stuff in the filling, maybe lettuce.

Delivered something to Dave Bassett's house. Immediately understood why he was/is well liked. A presence about him, reyt as ninepence with me he was. Good bloke.

He had just bought a jumbo hot dog and spent a good 10 seconds or more shaking salt on it. I wondered if I should warn him too much salt can dry your blood up.

Bumped into Morgs in Wickes in Rutland Road (I worked there at the time) and he asked for Crown paint. Then they only did own brand but he said no, I daren’t she only wants crown .

Keith Curle at The Prince of Wales, nobody could get near him as some woman was chucking herself at him. It was a while after Keith had finished playing but he was in great shape, the woman about 2 stone over weight and it was clear she was spouting a loud of bull about being 'an athlete'.

Keith Waugh and our very own Keef and a few of the other blades at the time in the 80's at fanny's night club, Wadds most of the time in my then local J Sheridan (very nice to be fair), Tufty a few times in same local, Billy at the half marathon with his family, Arry at my other local the night he had left Utd, thanked him for a tremendous job he had done for us and wished the very best..we chatted for about 1/2 an hour, fantastic brilliant bloke.
Darius Henderson in same local...d1ck head...Dane Whitehouse and Bradders in same local all genuine and down to earth.

Saw Kyle Walker, some years ago, in Napoleon's, saw Leigertwood in a motorway services, not long after a game. Saw Mark Yates in a petrol station at Fulwood, with some trendy, silvery jeans on and a big buckle, cowboy style belt, he was quite chatty.

Saw Chris Wilder with his wife and friends a few weeks ago, out for Sunday lunch.

Had a few drinks with Simon Moore and his girlfriend. Saw Simon and George Long walking along, chatting and laughing, after we had beaten Hull 3-0 towards the end of the season!, in fact I see George all the time, saw him this week.

Met Billy Sharp last season, an absolute gent and a top lad.

Had a good long chat with Kevin McCabe after our heroic 10 man win against Brentford.

Kevin Arnott on a National Express coach from Newcastle to Sheffield - got off at Wetherby to retrieve his car from a rescue garage.

Stephen Quinn in Lily's sandwich shop on Penistone Road just before the Hull semi final - I said to him ' You better not score against us ' ... that went well.

Chris Morgan and Bill Dearden at Donny Races - both sound.

Ted Hemsley at York races last year. He works there , Betting Ring Manager I think.

Billy Sharp when we were both stationary at traffic lights on a dual carriageway outside Meadowhall circa 2010. I beckoned him to lower his passenger side window so we could have a chat which , remarkably, he did. I asked him to come back from his loan spell at Donny as I'd been to London Road and seen possibly the most abject performance Blackwell 'inspired' performance the night before. He said he'd missed a penalty the same night in a draw at Preston so he wouldn't be much help . The lights turned green and we both drove off , neither of us having a clue what destiny had in store for him.

Neil Warnock at Southwaite Services near Carlisle. I was wearing a Blades T shirt and he rather inexplicably said ' I like your jumper'.

Alan Quinn in a pub at Wembley before the Burnley game. I was pissed , but couldn't hold a candle to him.
