**Trigger warning: No I don't think this hypothetical will happen and there are no worries/concerns about the process**

Looking back to last season Spurs had significant delay in different yet slightly similar circumstances (as they moved stadiums, whereas we are updating ours to meet PL standards) yet they were able to move easily into Wembley and the FA did sweet FA about it.

What would happen then if our stadium developments weren't completed in time? As I see it:

1. We continue to play at home and be punished for it. Don't know what that would be whether points deduction or fines, and if we would even be allowed to.
2. Groundshare at another ground which does meet the requirements. Obviously Wembley is out of the question (actually, is it?!), but very hard to think of a nearby place that we could go to for our home games.
3. Play all our matches away until it's done, think this against another set of PL regulations.
4. Be denied promotion into the PL. The FA has done this at non-league level before.

It's a pointless question I know, but nevertheless curious to see what our options would be.

Look at the liverpool timescale for their stand and how they moved a few games at the start of one season. That is what we'd be going for if we redid the south. Took more than a season but with limited loss of capacity.

I read the pertinent bits in the PL handbook and you don't get punished for it, at least there are no sanctions listed.

You get the equivalent of side eye from the PL until you do it, and they have timescales, so if we can't do it for this season, we have to do it for next season.

Assuming the pitch was clear, we'd play at home and there'd be no ramifications unless we didn't do it for the beginning of the following season.

I suppose it depends on the type of bomb, atomic and we might be looking at Bilbao, one of those that they dropped on Afghanistan to flush out our benefactor, maybe Nottingham.

Having a bomb site for a ground hasn't had any implications in Owlerton over recent seasons, albeit in a lower league
