well done lad, 3 clean sheets on the bounce plus a match winning penalty save to boot. Hopefully his confidence is flooding back and Blackwell will see enough to keep him on till the end of the season when his true quality will shine through.

Is this some kind of wind-up?

hes done well enough anyway... just another one with a myth bhuilt around him and his susceptibility to long range shots.... after all paddy on speed couldnt save a 25 yarder at wembley !

Why would it be a wind up? Bunny's been sound lately. One thing that rarely gets a mention is his throwing and kicking which is top drawer. He always looks for the throw out to the fullback/winger and if that's not on his kicking is ridiculously accurate most of the time. If only we could combine Paddy's shot stopping ability with Bunny's claiming of crosses and distribution.

My mother could have kept clean sheets in last 2 games. Agree, his kicking is generally excellent but it is quite simple for me - he has not authority, no stature and he is pathetically bad on long range shots and weak on crosses. I just don't rate him at all and he will cost us time and time again in my opinion. All keepers make mistakes and the lad is trying his best but if anything sums up Blackwell's attempts to build a squad this summer it is the signing of such an unproven player in such a key position.

Only time will tell but he's got the shirt now and deserves to keep it. I think our problems have gone deeper than simply Mark Bunn, and in my view he's taken the grief for other peoples mistakes.. I've mentioned this on another forum but in my opinion Bunn has been badly let down by his defence/midfield. Look at the goals scored by McCann (Scunthorpe), Leadbitter (Ipswich) and that player who scored Swansea's winner. All with plenty of space, not being closed down by anyone, it's not surprising they were able to score.

That's not the point though Santos for me. All players make mistakes, all teams do - the art of a decent goalkeeper is to prevent these defensive mistakes from turning into goals and quite clearly the evidence suggests that when space opens up and when a decent effort is launched on target, Bunny has huge problems keeping it out.

It kinda is the point unless you think keepers should be lambasted when they concede a goal from a penalty (unable to prevent defensive mistakes turning into goals etc).

I think Shankley, Clough or Paisley said something like goalkeepers should very rarely be blamed for conceding goals as it's got past 10 players already.

Anyway, enough of this irrelevent talk, who is the QPR caretaker? I imagine Blackwell will go into overdrive on Saturday on the basis of our form and the fact the caretaker will be a young whippersnapper still finding his feet.

Not a bad result at WBA though!

Yeah after that result i'm really not looking forward to Saturday. If QPR were so close to beating West Brom, one of the best teams in the division, then their players will be desperate to get it right and win in the next match...ie. us.

Their players will also be desperate to impress whatever new manager comes in if this is the case.

We are improving atm, and generally do ok away from home, so i think it might be a score draw.

Isn't it Bircham?
Was caretake last season too I believe.

Blackwell into overdrive doesn't bear thinking about - Does it mean that the Bullsh!t will come out twice as fast:confused:

There is absolutely nobody whatsoever to fear in this division and it annoys me to hear Blades talk with such fear and apprehension about playing teams like QPR!!! They're an average team in an average division.

I've also heard people cuming their pants (sorry, i know this isn't blades mad) about WBA, lets not forget we drew with them earlier in the season and in my opinion more than matched him, perhaps if it wasn't for killa having a mare we'd have won.

You're right about having nobody to fear. I'm generally quite optimistic. It's just that for some reason i have one of those funny feelings, that you get sometimes about football matches, about this game. I hope i'm wrong.
