I don't know how they managed to spare us the 20-odd seconds

the football league show

looks like its been run on a budget of £20, claridge is a right boring get and its just generally poor

BUT

wednesday are as stable as a house of cards in a tornado, now thats good its made the show go up 100% in my esimation and i will be emailing the show to let them no how much i appreciate it haha.

Is that a comment from our sheffieldposh? :D

To be fair we have been the featured game a few times......... until we turned sh1t. Expect a few more featured games now we're not bad again. Esp Jan/Feb when we play the top teams :)

very poor.

Its like were a second rate team.

Its awful.

Because we are? We always have been in the eyes of the most media outlets.

2nd rate northern club no need to give them lot coverage.

yes it makes you wonder it seems to be same on every channel and in every paper we could win 10-0 and still have just 6s in the star ratings great been a blade though isnt it haha

The Football league Show

Just seen the goals on The Football League Show, and the commentator stated that we were a bit fortunate to have the first goal awarded!

Now, I'm not as young as I once was, but I don't think my eyesight has failed entirely. From my vantage point on the kop, anything going anywhere near the goal is quite obviously a goal as far as United are concerned. But joking apart, now having seen it an the telly, it seemed to me that the ball was well over the line.

I remember getting back early from the 0-0 draw with Blackburn the other year to hear Alan "Tosser" Green on FiveTopFourOfThePremiershipLive say that we'd "bored everyone to a 0-0 draw".

Well forgive me, but there were three (missed) penalties and a sending off in that match. The national meeja is a joke at times.

That was one of the most exciting 0-0 draws I had ever seen.

Most of the media will use any excuse to have a go.

Sat up in the Wesfield and nearly level with the goal line it looked quite clearly in.

Table of Palace fans behind us in the Pub after swore blind it wasn't a goal and the referee was the biggest homer they'd seen all season.

How are these people allowed out?

I sit right in line and it was a good 18 inches over ,no question.

Thats the good thing about sky plus. Shit shows like that can be condensed into 40 seconds - ie ours and the pigs (only when they lose, which is most weeks :)) 20 seconds each!

What a shit show and format. Oh and Claridge is a total arse.

I thought we might have been the featured game with the extra cameras at the match. What was all that about then?

When they showed the 1st goal they froze the shot when the ball was on the line, said summat like 'as you can see the home side were lucky', THEN let it play on as it continued over the line and old Toblerone Boots hacked it away. BoNkErZ.

No matter how piss-poor the BBC offering is, when you cast your mind back to the utter dross that was offered by ITV the whole world seems somehow to be a better place.

The BBC website always makes up for the Football league show with a extended versions of the highlight's that I can watch at dinner time at work Tomorrow :)

Being up the other end of the ground I couldn't see at the time. But on the nano second of TV coverage that we had, it looked well over trhe line to me, and I can't understand how the presenter could say we were fortunate to have the goal awarded. It was clearly over the line.

It's laughable. And they always refer to the likes of Boro & Reading as big clubs but never us. We are bigger in every way than both those. In fact I'd say only Newcastle are bigger than us in the Championship. Even WBA can't match our attendances despite being 2nd.

Reading tore up the Premiership a couple of years ao, while Boro have been pishing money out their ears since the mid '90s and won major trophy very recently.

We've had one season in the Prem since 1994. One!

Which makes our attendances all the more impressive and Middlesborough's not very impressive.

Well, i'll say this for it it's much better than getting up at 9am on sunday morning to watch the 20 seconds of highlights on GOS every week.

Agree about that Blackburn match, one of the best 0-0s i've ever seen. Alan Green is so big-four biased its untrue. Just thinking about that match though converting just one of those pens would've kept us up. Aaaaaargh...
