I'm sure there'll be a few on here who may have taken one of the 'box' packages out at the Lane, I see they range from £1K up to £1750 for 10 people. Anyone shed any light or experiences, not even sure there'll be any available for next season but there's a few of us who are thinking that might be an option.

Cheers.

Free programme, waitress service, good view, good surroundings. For that price though... Got to be a good occasion. It wouldn't be bad once a season like. Make a good day of it and go out that evening as well all suited and booted.

Food is available but that might be extra.

Yeah, would be interesting to see what exactly is included in the bottom level of package but for £100 a head, not too bad if there's the odd drink and bit of food thrown in as well.

I had a few seasons of having to do it for work, playing host to people with no interest whatsoever in football. Hated every moment of it, but if you were with a bunch of mates it would be a good experience.

if im honest i used to work there and have also experienced platinum, boxes and exec suite and if im honest i'd go for exec suite (is it the TC suite now??) everytime better atmosphere

Done the box years ago with lads. Think it was a ton each. Good day with lsds. Great view.

And if you fill your tea cup with ale you can drink and watch match on the balcony......apparently.

Also done the Ss stand suite and John Street suite. Both good. Did this as a guest so more formal. Both good, but rnjoyed John Street where you csn still sit behind the glass and pretend to be important.

Can't help with up to date prices, but when I last had experience of it, maybe 2015 and for three year before that, I enjoyed the experience because it was mostly with a load of people you knew and had a common cause with and the food and service was fine, you had access to the bar and it was all very civilised. You had the occasional moaner who thought that a box entitled you to Michelin starred catering and service rather than mass catering in a football stadium, and of course, you pay for what you get. Enjoyed it, but I wasn't paying. The guy who booked it for his company fell out with Blades big style after a price hike and a lack of personal attention I understand. Possibly better now.

We're all entitled to our view. I've chatted to him a few times and found him ok.

Yeah my mate met him on a number of occasions and he was always supremely attentive.
Mind you she was a very pretty buxom blonde about 20 years his junior.

It is until that miserable bastard Currie sours the atmosphere.
I sat a couple of seats along from him and Mick Jones one game, talk about whinging old men.

I moved seats for the second half to get away from them.

Once I was down the Lane and Currie clocked me going through the turnstiles on a student ticket. "Get a job you fackin loafer" he yelled, before launching his foot into my backside. Later, he spotted me carrying a coffee and a sausage roll back to my seat. He stook his foot out, causing me to trip and drop my coffee and roll on the floor. I must admit that I was surprised to find that one of our best-ever players was such a twat.

However, things improved at half time. He appeared very remorseful, and even bought me a new sausage roll twice the size of the one I had dropped. I will always remember his words.

"There you go son" he said. "A quality roll from a quality player"
