Thankfully the league isn’t played on paper and points aren’t awarded for salaries, transfer fees or Championship Manager ratings.

Staying up will involve us getting the most from limited resources. Thankfully I think we’ve got by far the best bloke for the job in that respect.

I also think that as well as the 3 of us coming up from the Championship there will be 2-3 clubs who don’t perform to expectations and will be dragged into the scrap.

We’ve not been able to predict how we’ll play, let alone where we’ll finish until the end of August in each of the last 3 seasons. I can’t see this being any different.

Brighton, Burnley, Norwich, Villa, Palace, Bournemouth, Southampton, Newcastle (without a takeover) are all in a mini league with us.
Could also be a team to implode unexpectedly (poor start, manager sacking etc) such as a West Ham, Leicester, Watford. Either way, can’t see us getting cut adrift...too much character in the team to give up

We need investment. It's our biggest chance in over a decade to become one of the UKs premier league sides again but we'll be down 1st time if our spending isn't ambitious. Only so much Wilder can do when faced with clubs like Burnley & Brighton who can pay comfortably more.

I think Palace are a much better side than some people are giving them credit for. They’ll finish mid table again providing the can keep Zaha.

I think Bournemouth will lose Fraser and Brooks.

Norwich aren’t all that, rode their luck at times with the late goals and have an awful defence.

I think Brighton will do a Huddersfield. Don’t rate Potter, Glenn Murray is the only decent striker. Apart from Murray, Gross, Duffy and Dunk the rest of the team leave a lot to be desired.

It will be tight between 5/6 teams and we may well get relegated, but I think we will have enough to stop up.

Being a bit of an optimist, I’m wondering which 7 or 8 clubs will be better than us? I could probably name them now. The top 8 from last season. After that it’s much of a muchness I think.

In our favour: our refreshing, attacking, unconventional approach to the game and the manager and the team spirit.

Against us: financial clout and better established scouting networks. Oh and the uncertainty about ownership - although I expect that to be resolved before we kick off.

I’m not in the camp of settling for 4 th from bottom. I genuinely think we can do better than that.

The three I mentioned have done well during their few years in the sun but they will all return to their natural level at some point.

There's only one team right now you can say is worse than us and they'll probably have a bigger budget.

Given just how good we've been since Wilder came along it's probably going to be a big culture shock on here as we have remember what it's like to lose a lot of games. But I'm optimistic like everyone else. I can live with getting beaten by the top teams next season, all I want is for Wilder to stick to his guns and set out to try to win. If we do that then I think we'll have the ability to surprise a few teams and rack up enough wins to survive. Bournemouth lost just over half their games and stayed up.

The need for a few good signings aside I think the biggest task for us will be staying mentally strong enough that when we inevitably face a run of bad results we still go out the next game with the style that's got us here.

They won't though. He should've been out before this season to be honest.

Next season they'll likely be missing Zaha, Batshuayi who'll go back to Chelsea and maybe get a game, Wan Bissaka and Van Aanholt. After that lot I'd say there's only Townsend and Milivojevic who are special players, and that's not enough for me.

Bournemouth too are likely to lose some of their quality players, Wilson, Fraser, maybe Brooks.

We need to get some players in but there's no reason to be afraid I reckon, I respect the challenge but I believe in the team and manager. We'll give it a bloody good go.

I think Brighton are definites, but without seeing everyone else's Summer dealings (and ours) there'll be 7 or 8 teams involved. If I was pushed now, Brighton, Norwich and I think Burnley's run may come to an end.

I think it's necessary to adopt the attitude of Cerberus, yet I also think by far the most likely outcome is that we'll be relegated, we're the bookies favourites for that already too.

So, you have to be realistic, but it's no good aiming for 4th from bottom, that's no sort of target.

My main hope is that CW doesn't significantly alter the style of play (in general) and that we don't settle for the safety-first tactics the rest of the pile adopts.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Spurs are the teams I think we'll get nothing from, but the rest I think we can go at with confidence. This doesn't mean I think we'll win all of them, more that I believe there's nothing to fear. Teams will be surprised if we go at them and play to our strengths.

I feel like there will be a lot of Hull Semi-Final games next season, where we'll lose (or draw) but absolutely go at them from the off and show them what we're actually about.

Norwich could be depending on TW but we have a better manager.

Brighton new manager could be terrible, team is not all that, first team striker is 36 this season - again, TW is vital.

Southampton could be ropey this season, they have been languishing around relegation spots for a few years now.

We will bring a fresh approach and new tactics to the PL, i’d say we probably have one of the most determined squads in the league, and all our players are Blades through and through, no big wage pre-madonnas in sight here. That passion could give us a big advantage when it comes to sink or swim games.

Don't disagree, but in the PL it is all about the quality. Too many times we don't have it........and that is the problem.

CW needs to change his British players only approach I am afraid. CW/AN have excellent tactics, you can see that from some of the set play routines they have. Ironically I think they'd do well with some Latin/African type skill. Whether those types would fit in with the ethos is a different matter.

I'm confident we'll be better than at least 3 teams. If I had to pick 3 to be relegated it would be Norwich, Brighton and Burnley.

The scenario which could see us go down is a serious struggle this summer to bring in the required quality.

It is possible that key loan targets will be retained by their clubs, and players in the top bracket of what we can target will be snapped up by clubs in that mini league like Bournemouth who are prepared to spend bigger fees and pay bigger wages. We could end up scraping the barrel somewhat, which would leave us with a real fight on our hands.

But I'd still back us to stay up due to our management, system and the character in the squad.

We need to maintain our excellent home form. We need the fans to wake up and play their part every game. We need to start the season at full gas and get to 20 then 30 points as soon as possible. Play with freedom, aggression and the desire to win.
