One of the stupid quotes was
"We are expecting bigger crowds at the United games of around 32,000 and maybe six or seven thousand away fans some of whom will stay overnight in our city centre or go for food and drink in our restaurants and bars.

I asked one of the stewards I have got to know through the years about BLUT for next season. He said it'll be home fans up there. That said by not selling Season Tickets up there it does make it more flexible.

The Safety Committee have refused the sale of the front 2 or 3 rows of both the upper and lower tiers in the Bramall Lane end.
Wonder if the Saftety Committee will insist we only sell 2,100 in the bottom tier or will they allow the full 2,990 like in 2007.

That doesn’t make sense. What makes you suggest what you have?

In 2007 we only gave away fans 2,990 tickets in the bottom tier and virtually sold out 50% of our home games.

Now we have much bigger support with more home demand for tickets.
We’ve already eclipsed season ticket sales from that season.
Even though we’ve taken season tickets off sale weeks ago.
I know a few that want to buy season tickets if they go back on sale, now that they know we are in the PL.

I think there’s small exceptions. We could stick ten seats by the stairs to the upper tier, by John Street to get around it. Who cares if the away fans can’t see? Similar views at Anfield in the away end.

The PL will allow a dispensation (bend their rules) if that team has special safety or design related circumstances.

There are several clubs currently in the PL that due to their stadium design only allocate 2,950 or so to away fans.
It seems that as long as it’s very close to the 3000 figure and if it’s due to stadium design then it’s fine.

We were and presumably still are, only 10 seats short of the 3000 requirement.

Don’t think we’ll put away fans in the corner stand as it means a stadium reduction and lost revenue.
We put some away fans in part of the upper tier when we played Liverpool in 2007.
That day the sell out attendance was 31,700, where as our capacity was 32,600, so we had netting over 900 seats.

My maths say around 25,000 season tickets sold 3,000 in the BLUT for pay on the day home fans 2,990 away fans just about every game will be a sell out. 6-7,000 away fans my arse it's not gunna happen. Oh and the Premier league will shit on anything the Safety gang have to say on the matter.

Easy squeezing 7000 in on the lower tier, Chancer has sold us the safety certificate to generate some cash, it’s worth millions apparently because nowt sticks to it.
