Ashley Young, I think he will be surplus at Manc Poo next season, I know he's 34, but that should allow him to come on loan.
Not sure how he would adapt to a wing back role, but be a bit of experience in the club.
Whooosh

Aaron Mooy should be available now Huddersfield are down, lowish fee, affordable wages.

If Brighton go down they have some good players Dunk, Duffy, Gross, Murray. The two CB’s may have interest from bigger clubs though.

Tom Cairney from Fulham, was valued highly last year but after this season surely his stock has dropped... may still be out of reach though.

Cairney would be great competition for fleck and is probs better than him

No probs about it, Cairney is different level to Fleck. I'd guess £15m minimum.
I see cairney more suited to the Duffy role to be honest. £10m-£15m should be affordable and a great asset to have.

Would face competition from quite a few clubs though I would have thought.

It’s mad that after years of signing players for pittance and staying we’ll never be able to afford them we can actually sign some decent players

If we go up that is :eek:

Just wondered what peoples opinions were with regard potential signings for premier league considering they are gona have to strengthen, iv noticed theres a load of free transfers available..Garry Cahill and james Milner being 2 of many aswell as players like obafemi martins and ibrahim affelay who are out of contract? who would you bring to lane to make sure we stay up? heres the link for free agents, i think it makes more sense to sign freebies than be splashing out, heres the link ...

Yeah - I think Chris Wilder has done brilliantly in Transfer and loan deals and the last thing we want is to dash off and buy some ageing has been - 35plus- who is looking for a home.!
Maybe need to strengthen striker roles.? What do you think.?

Add Henderson, Madine, Mapauy, Mouy, McGinn & 1 other defender to the current side and we're looking a top 10 finish.

Release Hogan after his loan, not good enough for me.

Great shout....will be on humungous wages though at Chelsea, loan would be about the best we could hope for there and considering Hendo will hopefully be one of the two Prem loans allowed the second loan may be better used elsewhere...

My thoughts (for what they are worth)

Up top.....it would be a no to Madine and Hogan, although both have weighed in with key goals neither have really set the Championship alight and we need something better for the Prem and Madine encourages us to go long which doesn't suit us at all...(last 20 maybe if we are chasing)....Maupay would be my number one striking option..(that would probably be within our realistic budget anyway)....I would also consider Dwight Gayle depending on his situation at Newcastle and whether West Brom get promoted, he would certainly be at home rolling about on premiership pitches anyway! Mitrovic may be another loan option and I wouldn't rule us out bringing back Che Adams, especially if we can do a deal with Birmingham bearing in mind their FFP situation and our sell on clause, his team mate Jutkiewicz would also be a better option for a target man than Madine IMO.

Midfield.....I think this will be interesting and we may see some changes we didn't necessarily expect! For me, we need more height, strength and pace in midfield as I fear we could get completely over-run....As good as he has been there is a reason Norwood hasn't made a single premiership appearance despite being promoted twice before. Don't get me wrong, I love him and think he will start the season with us but I wouldn't be hugely surprised to see his place under massive competition next year, same I am afraid for Fleck and Duffy. Again at Birmingham I have always been impressed with Maghoma, (ex Pig, I know) and also Sawyers and Canos at Brentford.....I certainly think this is the type of market we will be shopping in.

Wing backs & back 3........(although I suspect more often than not it will be a back 5)..Enda & George have had stellar seasons but both lack in pace for me....again I could see both come under strong competition. Egan & JOC should be OK, Bash maybe not...

agree with a lot of it. However baldock lacks pace??

I repeat......
McBurnie, at 22 he could make an impact & if we come down he has proved he can score in the championship, or be sold for a decent fee.
Maupay
McGinn if Villa don't go up
A CB
A2 footed WB
