Sorry that is wrong. Its Nottingham Forest. I've been researching the history of Association football for many years. The Stoke claim for 1863 is even starting to get downplayed on their own site . their foundation date is 1868. Nottingham Forest were founded 1862 . This is why County's relegation is so tragic.

Notts Forest founded in 1865, I thought.

Apart from BDTBL what is the only other ground in the world that has hosted an England football international match, an England cricket test match and an FA Cup Final?

Did Notts County get bought by a proper rich fucker a few years ago and everyone thought they'd be world Championsiin a Few years, then they signed Figo, Sol Campbell, Maradona etc and they just dicked around in League 1 for a bit.

Or did I dream that?

just looking at that league table, Yeovill also out of the EFL, doesn`t seem that long since they were beating us in play offs, also Swindon in the bottom half, recent play off opponents. Shows how quickly fortunes change in football.
Not sorry to see Yeovil go out of the League.

..and yes, I do hold grudges.

That's right, Sven was involved at one stage too I believe.

Stoke City was the first away game I ever went to; it was during the 1952-53 promotion season. My dad took me, hoping to see the great Stanley Matthews. Unfortunately, Stan wasn't playing that day.
It wasn't the first time that football had crushed my hopes, and it certainly wasn't the last.

My first away game too, around 1973 I think - we won 2-1
