I really doubt Henderson will be affected. If De Gea buggers off, they’ll buy a ready made replacement for a few zillion quid.

They’ll want Henderson to get a year in the Prem, with us or anyone else, I’m sure.

Nope, makes it more likely we'll be able to buy Hendo as they'll want to recoup some funds for DeGea's replacement.
Man Utd is now, more than ever, a commercial vehicle. They need to continually buy big regardless of their league position to maintain their status.

If Hendo really wants to play for Man Utd and become Englands No1, his best chance is 2-3 years with us if we can stay in the Premiership. As keepers go, he is still very, very young but I don't think Man Utd will take any risks anymore now they don't have Fergie to give them the confidence to hold fast while it comes good.

Henderson is currently bottom end PL/ top end Championship standard
So there’s no way he’ll get a game at Man Utd next season.
A club like Man Utd will be looking for a world class keeper, so that rules out Henderson.
Think they’ll let us permanently sign him but they might try to include a buy back option.

Henderson is older than De Gea was when he made his Man Utd debut, but he shouldn’t look at that as evidence that Man Utd will slot him into the first team of De Gea goes.

De Gea had already won the Europe League and had had two seasons in La Liga.

If he stays with us, Henderson is going to a lot busier next season than he was this. That be the true test of his quality.

Not necessarily. He could be kept by them irrespective of what happens to De Gea and played in Cup games as is the fashion.
If we don't have him next season IMO that leaves us needing 2 keepers. I don't think Moore is of a high enough standard.

I'm fairly confident that he will be our player when the window opens back up. We will sign him with favourable buy back terms for Man U. Makes sense for all parties.

I can't see either club fancying another loan given the restrictive Premier League loan rules. If De Gea leaves they will sign another big name keeper rather than promote from within so Hendo will still be in the same position with no clear pathway to the 1st team. If he's lucky he might get a game in the Europa League or early round of one of the cups.

According to CW on radio Sheffield today any Deano deal is likely to be a loan

Apparently we’re already talking to Man U about Hendo and de Gea’s been out of form and had his head turned by PSG for a while now, it’s not like one of his hands has suddenly fallen off.

If Man U are now making decisions on the hoof they’re even more fucked than they look.

I may be in the minority here but have always felt De Gea to be a bit overrated tbh.
