Away allocation in Prem.

Just had a look and was disappointed to see most clubs 3,000 or below. I thought there would be much more of a chance to see the lads away. Man U give 3,000?

Myself my brother and my son all have different levels of loyalty points ranging from 36,000 down to my sons 20,000 so not a cat in hell's chance of all going together to an away match.

Very disappointing.

All clubs obliged to give 3,000, unless this is less than 10% of their capacity (i.e. Bournemouth).

Rules in FA Cup are different, minimum 3k still applies but clubs can give up to 10% if appropriate. This is where you'll see the top clubs giving 5k+ as they're less likely to fill it for what they see as smaller games.

The official cap is £30 and has been agreed until at least the end of the 2021-22 season, but the "Twenty's Plenty" movement continues to fight the battle. Madness that the Championship clubs haven't followed suit yet.

I know others have invested more time and money over many seasons but it is still disappointing all the same.

Not seen that mentioned anywhere, everybody knows that the away team will get the bottom section only and we'll have the rest. No segregation required in the Premier League as their fans are so well behaved

I went last time to Man U,and saw Luton Shelton get legged orr blatantly,right infront of the 3k Blades fans yep nowts changed in 12 years allocation wise,also went to Man C and saw the Blades grind a 0-0 result,i would take that score again.

Teams for the game against Man C,see who was reserve goalie for Man C.

2006/2007 I managed two away games - Man City and Bolton. Both games I had to buy tickets in the 'home' end.

With 40,000 loyalty points not sure if that will be enough to get tickets from the Lane.

Me and junior managed a few away games in 06/07 but the loyalty point system had only just come in then so we were OK being ST holders at the time. No point in opening the old loyalty points debate again but yeah, I'd be amazed if any away games reach general sale, Bournemouth will be a new ground for a lot (and there won't be that many available there anyway), maybe one or two of the less glamorous London games or Brighton (if they stay up) depending what day of the week the games are.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I reckon a lot of the bigger grounds won’t sell out as we will (possibly) be seen as less attractive opposition? Therefore buy a ticket in the home end or rally round your mates, or on here and chip in for a box or whatever corporate deal is on??

I can't believe you would put money into the stadium built with your taxes which the Govt donated to Wet Sham but if you do , make sure that you have a shit in both your seat and in the washhandbasin.

I was planning on going on the home section last time we played Arsenal in the PL. Spoke to a tout and he had some away end tickets on sale too so I bought one of those. I think it was 90 quid.

Yes but we all started supporting the Blades at some point. I don’t mind glory hunters as long as they’re shouting for us. It’s above building a fan base. If Man U and Liverpool only give 3k away tickets why the hell should we.

When we played Leeds this season I thought it was daft that the BLUT was nearly empty when we could easily have sold out to away fans, but if we know we can sell the majority of tickets to home fans then we should do. They may be part-timers/glory-hunters now but many of them will get into the habit of attending games and may stick with us if, God forbid, the bad times come back.

It will be interesting if South Yorkshire’s finest allow us to sell every seat in the lower and upper tier. Although I very much doubt it. It's a lot of money over a full season to lose when the majority of teams visiting next season will easily fill the lower tier. The policing costs are often brought up in conversation so how about they actually earn it for a change.
