So what was the low point.

I’m going for a home against Preston under David Weir. Didn’t manage a shot on target, went 4 points clear at the bottom of the pub League and had players of the ilk of Fabian Brandy and Marlon King

One of his first games, Notts County at home we played like Barcelona, I thought we’d stumbled upon a footballing genius, history tells us we hadn’t, but thankfully, we wouldn’t have to wait too long until we did;)

That game for me too. Bury away was bad also but at The Lane, up against Clough, not only did we not register a shot on target we failed to register any presence at all on the football pitch. Truly dire performance.

One thing from that night, Burton had a little tricky winger but instead of playing him on the wing they were playing him in a free role behind Beavon. Tore us to shreds and was the main reason we hardly touched the ball. I said to my Dad I wished we'd signed that Duffy when he was at Scunny. He was class.

And here we are.
 



Watching Darryl Westlake in a pre-season game at Hallam and knowing there was trouble ahead. Now with Stourbridge the classless shit twat.
 
I know this is sacrilege because everyone loved this performance for some reason, but being walloped 4-0 at home by Scunthorpe.

Cold. M62 was horrific. It pissed it down. Ryan Flynn was shit but was our man of the match because he had our only shot of note. Adkins was genuinely surprised when the fans turned on him and the team - shows how clueless he was. Only time I’ve ever jeered a United team.

Just as an aside Mrs NYB says that in one of the ladies toilets on John Street there is a sticker with 'Ryan Flynn is a babe'. Now I'm not criticising the cleaners, but how long has Flynn been gone!
 
Having to go to Crawley several times and having to stand in that tiny apology for an away end. Spurs new ground etc next.

Crawley away, one Christmas, away end full of Santas and Tony McMahon with 2 scorching free kicks? That was one of the best moments of the Wilderless years!

Now Crewe away when we lost 1-0 on Halloween, with Jose Baxter up front looking like a striker on strike.... that was truly shite. Hard to believe the useless Che Adams of that match is the same guy who's knocked in 22 goals this season.

Shrewsbury at home on a freezing Tuesday November night under Adkins, think we lost 2-4 but in my opinion we should’ve lost 7/8-0. I’ve never questioned being a blade as much.
 
Wigan at home under Adkins sticks in my mind. That waster Jose Baxter blasted a pass to someone which then went off the blokes shins and went to a Wigan player who then scored. It was the total lack of effort from Baxter that boiled my piss. He ran for about a second, then couldn’t be arsed and then just sauntered back. Imagine this under Chris Wilder? No, neither can I. He would have been out in his drug addled arse straight after the game. We have lost under Chris and will lose games ahead but never, ever will it be less than 100 percent effort off every single player. The man is a fucking miracle worker.
 
My lowest point strangely enough was under Wilder. It was when we were 1-0 down against Oxford. I had wanted Wilder for a few years and I remember sitting with my head in my hands with no idea what to do.

Lots of the seriously shit moments already covered here, with Bury away being a key one for me. Port Vale away on Boxing Day was grim too.

Going further back, Watford away the season we went down to the 3rd is also hard to beat—Henderson’s glorious return from injury, in which he was sent off after 20 mins and we were down to 9, and losing, by HT. Scunthorpe away the same season, too, hoofing it relentlessly at their box from the edge of ours, going 2-up early doors but still managing to lose the game. Shudder.

Let me also throw in getting done home and away by Fleetwood in the same season (was that Adkins or Clough?). I remember reading at the time that the entire population of Fleetwood would fit inside Bramall Lane.

Away at Brentford under Wier, the cunt couldn't even afford us a wave as he took the absurdly long walk diagonally across the pitch, directly in front of all travelling Blades fans, to the away teams exit. He just didn't seem to have any empathy whatsoever with away fans who'd took trouble and expense to suport his pathetic tenure. All this exacerbated by the fact that the minute we binned the knob, he was straight back down to his mates at Brentford securing a nice cushy coaching job - first class cunt.

Wilson's second season when anybody with any quality had been sold or jailed, the Weir era, Adkins/Scunny at home plus being turned over at home by the likes of Crawley.
