The season ticket money will be in by May. Boycotts will have little or no effect.

No more funds, Wilder walks. Players sold from under him, Wilder walks. HRH wins, in comes Winkel, Wilder walks. As fans we're more impotent than ever.

Dark days ahead without promotion, possibly even with.
Not really a 'like' but you know what I mean :(

Exactly my thoughts.

My only hope is that if HRH wins he has some very wealthy contacts! I can’t see either man holding onto the Club for long.
It's an accepted fact! McCabe was looking to sell for at least 5 years.
He obviously thought he had found a partner willing to support him and the club during our prison term in the first division.
It didn't turn out that way as it seems the Prince is only interested in the football club and not all that goes with it , they include : land stadium and the community foundation ( which employs a lot of people ).It seems a strange contract they drew up between them one or the other was supposed to buy the lot at some point.
McCabe was willing to be bought out at the market price ? this didn't happen and really the Prince only wanted the club ( and it seems at a knock down price).
Most blades want McCabe to win through (at least he wants the best for the club and the community foundation ).

It appears, prior to the Brooks transfer, McCabe was willing to loan the club money to cover the shortfall. The Prince refused to do the same. What happens if funds are needed for next year? Player sales? Will McCabe be blamed?
McCabe wanted to loan, the prince wanted to give the money with no caveat. Is how I heard it Sean.

Wasn't there a claim of an email Kev was copied into by mistake? Could this be a smoking gun and could SUL use it?
I dont think its a smoking Gun, its just you peddaling unsubstantiated bollocks ....... :)

But if it did turn out to be a smoking Gun, it would be from Kev shooting himself in the foot ..............

What an absolute omini shambles. I read through it last night understanding little of the legal jargon, I did read a bit (now attached) which suggested McCable wanted to put money into the Jan transfer kitty, but the Prince didn't feel it was needed.

With the above and the way HRH has seemingly transferred his stake of the Football Club to another company to avoid having to buy the whole club (ground etc) worries me. It seems very underhand and I'm not entirely sure I'd want such a person in charge of OUR club.

Either way this is going to run and run and most probably still be running as a) the summer transfer window opens and/or b) next season starts. This can only give massive uncertainty to Wilder and his staff, and we all now what that could result in.

Well it was reported earlier that it existed. Have a look in your Anti McCabe files, I'm sure it there along with his old underpants and council tax bill you've scrounged from his bin. :)

It's peddling btw but the definition doesn't fit.

Jeez, this takes me back to the daily courtroom drama of young Chedwyn Evans!

Incidentally, I’ve watched the video again and I don’t think she was really drunk.......................................;)

Do I want my club to be led by an incompetent idiot who allegedly has a legal team incapable of producing a watertight agreement or by someone I have hardly seen at the club who employs a lawyer/business advisor who allegedly devises a scheme to take advantage?

Oh go on then, I'll take the idiot. :D

Not fit for purpose, either of them.

They say no man is bigger than the club, but Wilder, Knill and the management team are the best we've had in decades, if ever given the budget they've worked to, the context they've worked within and the style of football and success they've delivered despite this - against others with vastly superior resources.

No man is bigger than the club, but this management team succeed despite the owners, not because of them. Wilder and Knill are more important to this club than the owners will ever be.

At times such as these, I always like referring to Copernicus's Hierarchy of Blame, I simply work my way down the list until the blame seems appropriate:

1. Footballing Gods
2. McCabe
3. Lundstram
4. Johnson
5. Sharp's Legs
6. Washington
7. Beesley
8. South Yorkshire Police

Whatever the decision can it be appealed?

David Whelan has been on the phone to Kev already promising his full support. and backing, if things don't go his way. As an aside, Kev didn't realise that Dave had broken his leg in the 1960 League Cup Final, he'd never mentioned it before.

20 more years, 20 more years .................... ;)
I've always thought that McCabe had the best interest of the club at heart and still do .when we were losing money hand over fist he transferred all the club asserts to his family company to be bought back or given back to the club when we were in a position to cover the costs .That could possibly this year if we get promotion.
What happens if the Prince wins out he doasnt want anything except the football club.Mccabe is left with the stadium etc and the foundation (which is a charity ).
He will lose all that too if the Prince wins ,That is not morally right especially at the price offered.
McCabe has got to win this for the sake of all employees and fans who love the club

George Long should be in there at 4, Simonsen at 5 and John Gannon and Jamie Hoyland are way above Washington and Beez.

It could well be Kev's final clusterfuck to eclipse all previous clusterfucks :(

I genuinely believe we’re better off with McCabe, I’m not a big fan of his cause he’s messed so much up in the past, but the other guy is the lord lucan of bramall lane..

Do we really want an owner who doesn’t care enough to actually come to the country, let alone the actual ground? It says a lot to me how he’s never there..

Anything apart from McCabe winning this trial and keeping the club is a bad result for me. He can then sell us on to someone else.

What if we aren't happy with the next guy or he turns out to be even worse?

This part of the judgement stood out for me. Looks to me that they both tried to shaft each other. The irony is the club name "United". It's a wonder the Playing staff have managed to achieve anything above relegation with the chasm in the club.

  1. This dispute has generated thousands of pages of inter-solicitor correspondence, and a dispiriting volume of mistrust. As I said repeatedly in the course of argument, the parties will need to keep proportionality in the forefront of their minds as matters proceed. The Business and Property Courts are indeed willing and able to resolve the most complex of commercial disputes. But the parties must focus on the issues that require resolution, and not allow themselves to take every point, however small, nor to permit their mistrust of their opponents to become the driving force behind the litigation. There is, I am afraid, a danger of that here. The court expects the parties to cooperate to allow it to achieve a just, expeditious and proportionate resolution of the real commercial issues that separate them. Court proceedings are not a stage for a grudge match.

McCabe is a Blades fan, no matter what you think of him. I was chatting to him after our incredible 10 man - 2 nil win, against Brentford, and he had been at the game and spoke with great knowledge about each and every player, who we had on the bench that night, our style of play. He was very insistent (back then) that we were going up this season, and the stars were aligning.

He even said "Up the Blades" as we said goodbye.

The Prince doesn't have to do any of that, of course, as long as he brings in the riches and wealth that allow us to compete with the likes of Frank Lampard FC when we are looking at buying players.

But we will lose something, if McCabe loses. Like we have all said, a Blade owner/Chairman, a Blade manager, a Blade Captain, a rarity in football, the feel of us all as family, for want of a better word.

What a shit hierarchy of blame.
No Simmonsen, no Hammond, no Beattie flu, no Desso and no Bog roll Prince.

It seems those running the day to day are seeing a need for a further 7m investment in the summer for Chris with only 600k incoming to offset that. This seems to be disputed on the Prince's side and for that reason I'd rather Kev wins.

It is stated that one player sale could offset this. Let's hope that Che goes for 20m and Brooks gets offloaded for 40m and Maguire gets his move to Man U!

It also mentions how the Prince moved shared from one company to another to disrupt McCabe's attempt to get shares back. With all those shares not in one place it would diminish the Prince's need to outright acquire everything.

All very messy and acrimonious.

Reading all that is about as easy to endure as watching Jordan Stewart crowbarred onto the right wing, a Hunt-Hamilton combo in the middle of midfield, a Lee Baxter debut, and a cameo from Tommy Johnson, all together in some sort of nightmare legalese collage.

Can someone that has their head a bit more firmly on the particulars of this confirm that Team Echelon’s claim that Team Paper doesn’t even have cash available to pay the £5m for the share purchase a new one? I either didn’t know, or hadn’t paid attention, to that from the Fancourt ruling. Do we know if the Charwell loan Team Paper took out has been repaid after the payment deadline was extended?

Also, the email exchange from Gian The Recuser – do we know what this was in response to? Was this something fairly trivial? It does seem like a lot of this falling out originates in the period Aug-Nov 2017. I’m interested to know what prompted this, given that the partnership arrangement till that point had been working ok (albeit not perfect).

Lastly, will the upcoming trial give a clear answer as to who is in control, or is maintaining the current 50/50 split a possible result?

All that means is stick to the relevant points and stop calling each other names.

Based on what's out there, any shafting seems to be just the one way. McCabe wanted £5m plus the ground etc at market value. If HRH had said okay, we wouldn't be here.

Of course KMc could have believed HRH had neither the inclanation or the funds to finance the purchase and tried it on. Which had HRH paid up, would have backfired somewhat.

IF we go up, the fun will start for real.
