If he's as good as you say, then I'd leave him just where he is until at least Saturday.

Personally i always liked Leon and he was a very good player for us, but he's not the same player as Billy.
And again, personal opinion, but i think Hogan is a much better option than Leon for these next 4 games.

As far as I'm aware, a club can't recall a player on loan outside of the transfer window.

Correct. Regardless of Clarke and Evans finishing their seasons by the time the Championship playoffs begin, neither will be available to play – the registration is retained by the club the player is loaned to till the next window opens.

Given how much overreaction there was over the Leonard situation last autumn, coupled with what feels like mass meltdown from yesterday, I’m amazed there aren’t already 5 threads bemoaning our decision to loan them out...

Leon confirmed cult status in 2017.

The other week he upgraded to legend status after his performances against Norwich and Leeds. Look at his reaction after his assist at Elland Road.

He'll get a honourable contract pay-off from us and probably the chance to play at Championship or L1 level.

If you ever see big Leon out in Sheffield, buy him a drink.

He’ll go in the summer, but absolutely, 100% got to get him on that bus next month. He’s played a massive (no pun intended) part in the last three years, given us some special moments and has played this season. The assist for Wigan at Leeds was the cherry on the cake. Would the perfect way for him to say goodbye and for us (and the players who clearly respect him) to show him some love.

Might be hard to get rid as he’ll have a pay rise for promotion which I doubt many teams would pay. More likely to go on loan with us paying part of his wages.
