Didn't we have a sports psychologist in promotion season, maybe we need him back and he needs a session with everyone..

I'm available for free, if they want?

I was thinking about this, psychologically it makes a lot of sense and whether the players think a turnaround in the next few weeks is achievable, and their attributions for this. Do they believe that if they put the effort in it'll all even itself out (an internal locus of control) or do they think it's down to the footballing gods, the luck of the draw etc regardless of how she's they try (external locus of control). Technically, it's a little of the latter anyway noe, given the points gap, which makes matters harder re. motivating the squad...but either way, they may well need some help with their sense of belief potentially.

The big one for me is getting the mentality right and the belief in the stands. As fans, we're down at the min, because standards haven't been good enough or results haven't gone our way, I understand that we're entitled to feel down. But if we bring that into the ground, the players will pick up on it and the edginess will return. It's like a self-fulfilling prophecy - if you worry about it being nervy, it'll get nervy.

It almost needs the squad to commit to playing on the front foot, CW and AK to commit to taking it to the opposition and the fans to commit to going nuts in a good way, for 90mins. Regardless of niggling doubt.
