Four Blades in a Pub!

Not seen anything posted on here already but there's a new podcast just started (on episode 2). It's a different kind of listen as they literally ARE just sat in a pub talking.

Anyway, thought i'd share...

Nice idea, but the sound quality is appalling so I gave up after about 2 minutes.

Agreed, unfortunately. Just getting four lapel microphones for about a fiver each would improve it no end.

Agreed, but there are some very good ones out there. Always thought Shoreham View was pretty good and that Benjamin Bloom is always a decent listen.

It depends if they offer something different. People like Blades Analytic are great cause they offer a different insight.

The more people that start doing them, the less interesting they become, especially if it’s literally just talking about the same stuff we do on here, or that we could be discussing in the boozer with our mates.

I know that your post was tongue-in-cheek but, if it was for people that don't have any friends of their own, then it wouldn't be "pointless". Lots of people get comfort from this kind of thing, whether because they're lonely, stuck in hospital, or just bored on a long commute.

I know that your post was tongue-in-cheek but, if it was for people that don't have any friends of their own, then it wouldn't be "pointless". Lots of people get comfort from this kind of thing, whether because they're lonely, stuck in hospital, or just bored on a long commute.

I'm sure some people do, but I doubt that's the target audience, or who these bloggervloggerpodcasters hope is their target audience. If people like it, then fair enough, who am I to say it shouldn't be done, I just wonder sometimes whether it's becoming a bit circular. In the end, everyone will be taping all their everyday conversations and putting them online.

They mention on the second pod (didn't listen to the first) that the 4th isn't there but will be on for the third.
